just-another-cool-kid-in-nyc:

My dad went to college in a really bad part of town when he was younger and there were always a lot of homeless people asking for money. So he gave as much as he could to people, but there were so many people so at a point he’d just start saying, “Oh, sorry. Not today”. And walk off.

So this one day my dad was in a rush and this scruffy looking guy comes up to him and mumbles somthing about money. And my dad just walked by and said “Oh, sorry. Not today.” And he went inside the bookstore he was going to.

Once my dad gets inside the bookstore he turns around to see the guy who came up to him outside looking very angry. And then he realized that the guy had said, “Give me all your money.”

So my dad said “Oh, sorry. Not today.” to someone who was trying to mug him.

You will say you are not. But the people that want you dead get a vote.

This is why the west is losing. We don’t have the resolve to admit that they are at war with us.

Religion of peace means means peace via Sharia. Not peace without violence. What we believe is peace they do not.

The religion of peace means the peace of submission. Submission to their god, and their god’s interpreters. It is inherently an authoritarian ideology.

Agee. Islam is the problem.

Islam is a cancer on this Earth.

Not only that but Muslims, ¼ of the world population. 800 million cannot read. Not ONE university in the top 300 worldwide. 80% are on welfare in Europe. Dead last in human’s rights, IQ per country and Women’s right studies. No intellect, No sports, No cinema, No books, except one about a bloody conquerer prophet who married a 9 years old child. 57 muslims countries combined produce less in GDP than Japan or Germany economy alone, less than 1/5 of usa. Absolute zero in Olympics. Most are runned by crazy dictators and monsters and if they are removed out, civil war follows between two goat f****** factions, all for centuries. Zero evolution. They reproduce like rats, yet they don’t work or want to work. Finally they want to go to countries they hate to turn them into the s******** they came from, how beautiful this world will become.

He isn’t wrong.

Except he *is* wrong.  All the specific numbers I bothered checking were at least a little wrong, but more importantly some of it is absurd (“No intellect, No sports, No cinema, No books” is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read in my life – it goes so far beyond ‘wrong’ that we may need to invent a new word for it) and the rest of it is a massive confusion of cause and effect.

The problem isn’t Islam.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan, but if you look at almost any religion you will find some seriously dangerous and backwards shit.  Are all Muslims terrorists?  Obviously not.  Are all terrorists Muslim?  Hah!  Just kidding we could not possibly forget about the numerous Christian terrorists.  So then why are there all these Muslim countries with seriously awful shit going on?

Because it had to be something.

If it hadn’t been Islam it would have been Christianity, or Judaism, or something else.  The problems are human psychology, religious fundamentalists, and theocracy.

Oh, and assholes like the one that wrote that absurd paragraph.  Yes, they are absolutely a big part of the problem.  You see, groups like ISIS like to recruit by using these dickwads.  They LOVE when we demonize a fifth of the world’s population!  They think that’s GREAT!  Because the vast, vast majority of Muslims aren’t terrorists and that makes ISIS sad.  So when you lump them all together and say absurdly bigoted shit (dead last in “IQ per country”?  What the fuck does that even mean?  And do you understand that – to the extent that intelligence is even a measurable thing – there is no one group of people that naturally are more or less intelligent in any of the ways we can measure it?  I mean this is some pretty basic stuff, you twat) it makes ISIS all horny because they can say “LOOK!  They hate you!  They think you’re sub-human!  Fuck these guys!” and it starts to look like a compelling argument.

So.

We don’t need to pretend all Muslims are super nice people.  That’s bullshit.  But it’s equally bullshit to place the blame on something so broad as “being Muslim”.  That’s an awful wide net you’re casting.  If you want to rail against the shitty people of the world, good!  Let’s do that!  But let’s identify them properly.  Otherwise it’s you.  You’re one of the shitty people of the world.

I’m an atheist.  I have no love for any religion, and if I went to several Muslim majority countries I would be in genuine risk of being murdered by a gang of people with machetes.  Really, this has happened multiple times.  I’m not sugar coating the horrific shit that goes on.  I’m just saying you can address this stuff with lies and bigotry and hatred that actually MAKES IT WORSE, or you can address the actual problems and actual causes and leave the people that aren’t the problem alone like you’re a decent human being.

Batman The Animated Series is back! …in some way at least.

First still from the upcoming movie “Batman and Harley Quinn”

wait what

I choose to believe that Nightwing and Harley Quinn are going on a date, and Batman is chaperoning.

I choose to believe that Nightwing and Batman are going on a date, and Harley Quinn is chaperoning.

I choose to believe Nightwing and Batman are try to go on patrol and Harley Quinn is narrating it like it’s a date

can we get @unpretty to caption this image

For a long moment, the inside of the car was silent except for the sound of a burger wrapper.

Nightwing started to take a bite, then stopped with a sigh.

Even he could not pretend that this was normal.

“What is she doing here?” he asked finally.

“I’m helpin’,” Harley said, somehow managing to say it quite clearly even though her lips never touched. Her lipstick was a dark matte, and getting a dark matte just right required surgical precision that she could somehow still manage in the back of a moving vehicle without any lights.

“Why, though.”

“In case he needs backup!”

“That’s why I’m here,” Nightwing pointed out.

“Sure,” she said, somehow making the word sound entirely composed of vowels, snapping her compact shut. “Now.”

Nightwing sighed. “I was ten minutes late.” He looked to Batman, who said nothing. “Ten minutes.”

“A lot can happen in ten minutes,” Harley said, primly putting her things back into her bag.

Batman still said nothing, but tilted his head just enough and just long enough that Nightwing knew he was looking pointedly at his fries.

“I’m not apologizing for the fact that I wanted real food,” Nightwing said. He turned around in his seat to look back at Harley. “Have you seen his little protein shake things?

“They’re his robo-fuel!”

“You know he’s not a robot.”

“Yeah, I know that.”

Harley and Nightwing both looked at Batman. Nightwing turned back around in his seat. “I had a busy day, I didn’t have time to eat, so I got some food. It was a totally reasonable thing to do.”

“What’s even your day job?” Harley wondered. “Y’ain’t gettin’ paid for this.” Then she gasped. “Are ya in college now?” she asked, delighted.

“He dropped out,” Batman said before Nightwing could respond.

Harley gasped even louder.

“Now, wait a minute,” Nightwing began, before Harley interrupted by cuffing his ear. “Ow! Harley!”

“That’s Dr. Harley to you, young man.” She looked to Batman. “Tell him he has to go back to school.”

“He’s an adult now,” Batman said. “He can do what he wants.”

Harley narrowed her eyes at Nightwing. “Is that why ya had that mullet?”

“It was not a mullet–”

“Is this what youthful rebellion looks like when a dork tries to do it?”

“You’d know better than I would,” Batman said.

“Hey!” She backhanded his shoulder, then sighed. “I guess I did go to med school.” She reached over Nightwing’s shoulder to grab a fry. “But I also did a lot of coke.”

Nightwing, mid-sip, choked on his iced tea.

“A looooot of coke,” she added, chewing. “In retrospect I was prolly self-medicatin’.” She put a hand on Nightwing’s shoulder. “Not that that makes it okay,” she said. “Listen to your Aunt Harley. Don’t do coke.”

“Yes, Dr. Aunt Harley.”

“If ya needed money for school, ya coulda called me,” she said.

“You don’t have any money.”

“I can get money.” She paused. “An’ I’m real good at gettin’ scholarships.”

“You’re a genius,” Batman reminded her, managing to make the statement of fact sound not at all complimentary.

“That did help,” she agreed.

“Why is she actually here?” Nightwing asked.

“She has some leads on Crane.”

“I’ve been tryin’ to find him so we can have a nice talk about medical ethics,” she said with a grin.

“She wants to cave his skull in with a giant hammer,” Batman corrected.

“An’ you’re gonna try an’ stop me!” she agreed, still just as cheerful. She leaned forward to drape her arms over the headrest of both front seats. “We’re gonna have so much fun.”

even with those four numbers there are countless possible combinations good luck with figuring out which one is the right one you punk

*straightens calculator*

It’s pretty likely that it’s a four digit number, and as there are four digits chosen there, that means that there cannot be any repetition. This mean that there are:

n!/(n-4)! possible orders. As ‘n’ is 4 (number of digits available). 4!/0! which becomes 4x3x2x1/1 which simplifies to 24. That means that there are 24 possible combinations of codes. This would take you about two or three minutes to input all possible codes.

Unless an alarm goes off if you don’t get it right in 3 tries

*straightens calculator again*

Kick the fucking door in

well ‘technically’ the code is most likley 1970. statistically, a majority of people, when told to choose a 4 digit code will choose their birth year. and this key pad is obviously a few years old to put it nicely, thats most likley it.

some sherlock holmes shit just went down over here

image

No, no, no. Don’t base your deductions of psychology. Let’s talk chemistry. When you first press a button, there’s more of the natural oils on your skin, and therefore it wears down the numbers on the keys faster. Obviously 0 is the first one, then. Try 0791 first.

image

Sherlock out.

woah.

it got better

and this is why the sherlock fandom could either rule the world or end it….

Close, but not quite, I think. People will almost always choose a number they can remember. What’s memorable about 0791? Try 0719 – a birthday, 19th of July. That is more likely.

Those deductions are great and all, but unnecessary.

The light is green.

The door is already open.

And that’s why we have a John Watson.

This is “top 10 favorite posts” level.

Omg, it’s actually on my dash! This post is like a fossil!

The code is 70829. The worn buttons and faceplate are a decoy.

I hate hate HATE all those 2edgy 4me theories about kids shows. Like Angelica dreaming up the rugrats, or the ed, edd, and eddy children being ghosts, or literally anything that takes a lighthearted and fun kids show and has to turn it into some tragic take of rape or murder or misinformed mental illness.

So you know what? From now on I’m gonna do the exact opposite. Every cool grim-dark show is now because of a bunch of children. To get us started:

Game of Thrones: A middle-school DnD campaign with the most angry, vindictive DM who has promised to kill everyone’s player characters (and their family) by the end.

The Walking Dead is actually a bunch of kids playing zombie apocalypse in their neighborhood and every time someone “dies,” it’s because their parents called them home for supper.

Breaking Bad is actually just a fanfic the students in Mr. White’s class write about him because no one has any idea what he does with his free time and the running jokes about it got wildly out of hand.

These are all officially my headcanons for the actual shows now

so if in the soulmate au the very first words your soulmate ever says to you are tattooed somewhere on your body since the day you are born imagine having something like ‘man I cant believe dumbledore died’ tattooed on you. imagine being spoiled for a book series that doesnt even exist yet. imagine worrying about this dumbledore guy your whole childhood while not knowing who he is. imagine knowing dumbledore dies before jk rowling even thinks about it.

Everybody go home, this is my favorite soulmate au

So you finally find your soulmate. After years of knowing that dumbledore dies and the entire franchise being ruined, you find him. You’re in the theatre, dumbledore is dead and you hear it. ‘Man I can’t believe dumbledore died’ by a guy walking right by you and in you’re rage you shout ‘You! You’re the one!’ The guy stops, looks at you, his own arm to read the words, then back at you and he says, “That’s not really how I imagined that being said”
