Hi! I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that helped me and supported me with this fanfic. You guys rock!
Of course, I would also like to give a big thanks to @spiffanywolfe for her precious help and support. Make sure to check out her theory, the one that made this fanfic possible, here and her fanfic here.
If you want to be tagged just drop me an ask or a note down bellow.
So, a while ago I made a post about weather or not I should post my humans are weird story. I got some nice replies. Here are the people who commented or reblogged @extreme-danger-bug@potatokingme and @blackrabbitt3t
The quiet creak of the walls filled the cold room, going unnoticed by the occupants. A long metal table stretched out, seemingly endless but in reality taking up only a fraction of the area. The surface of the table was filled with green and blue, displaying a clear image of S-01-3, better known to some as “Earth.” Six Crylaxxaians filled the most centered seats of the table.
Green light from the table reflected off a creature’s unblinking black eyes and dull exoskeleton. Though not wide in girth, the height of the individual was still astonishing, yet no more intimidating than the others. On its vaguely mantis like face, a slit opened and began to emit chittering noises.
“Jxx, I understand that you have results for me?” The leader asked. Its question was directed to the smallest of the group, who cocked its head to the side and clicked an affirmative.
“Yes, Comm. S-01-3 is previously inhabited. Further study shows that the creatures have not yet left their own orbit, proving my theory that no extraterrestrial life has been upon the surface before. These creatures have completely evolved on their own in a short amount of time.” Jxx anxiously tapped one of its many claws against the table while scrolling through data with another. Comm nodded and turned to the creature on his right.
“Le’q, what have your nanobots brought back?” Comm asked. A few taps and Le’q had brought up a diagram of the homosapien.
“I’ve been able to get my nanobots to latch onto about 2,400 of them. My audio and visual nanobots have also been placed around in various locations, mostly in places called ‘classrooms’. Zaan has been able to create a translator for me.” Le’q paused to acknowledge Zann with a tilt of its head, and continued.
“I have a large amount of information stored, but I have sent the most important information to the others to analyze.” Le’q bought up a line of strange symbols. “These creatures call themsleves homosapiens, but are more commonly referred to as ‘humans.’ They can reproduce once per Yaz rotation, but the amount of offspring can vary.” A diagram of the female body was spread across the table.
“Most humans decide to only have two offspring throughout their life spans, but they can carry as many as three at a time without the risk of danger. One of their downfalls is that it takes two humans to create offspring, which is the reason for there being such things as ‘genders.’” Comm clicked in interest.
“Do you have any information on their survival?” Comm asked. Across the table, the tapping of claws on a screen stopped.
“Scientifically speaking” a rough voiced clicked. “These ‘humans’ breathe death.” Le’q sighed at the Crylaxxaian across the table and rubbed the base of its antennae in frustration.
“Ur’a, they don’t breathe death, they breathe O2.”
“Might as well be death. It’s killing them! The average lifespan of a human is 79 Yaz rotations! 79!”
“They’ve adapted. Haven’t you read the files?” Le’q snapped. “Please, we have much to discuss. Stay on topic.”
“Though it is much appreciated.” Comm interrupted. “I would like to hear more of what Ur’a has to say. I find the evolution of the human race… fascinating.” Ur’a stretched its neck in self indulgent way, satisfied with the interest their leader was taking.
“If you don’t mind, I believe that evolution is my specialty.” A timid voice chirped. All movement stopped. Optics turned and focused on the quietest of the group. Comm warmly inclined its head
“Of course, Z’rs,“ Comm leaned back and gestured with a claw. “Please, share what you have learned.” Suddenly nervous, Z’rs bowed its head and averted its gaze.
“Humans started as single cell organisms, and evolved over a period of 3.8 billion Yaz rotations, which is a remarkably short amount of time.” Comm agreed with the younger Crylaxxaian. After all, it has taken them almost 21.8 billion Yaz rotations to evolve to their current state.
“They evolved into H2O dwelling creatures, and soon developed the ability to breathe O2-”
“You mean death?” Ur’a snarked and Z’rs shrunk back. Jxx harshly nudged Ur’a with a claw, disappointed with the younger Crylaxxaian’s behavior. Cautiously, Z’rs continued with its speech.
“And then evolved into ‘Monkeys.’ At one point or another, there were groups that split. Some of them evolved into the current human.” Z’rs finished, a wave of relief overcoming the young Crylaxxaian.
“I’d like to point out that not only do they kill other creatures for their own benefit, but they put foreign objects into their bodies. They then absorb nutrients and release anything unneeded.” Ur’a declared. Ur’a felt good knowing that it had shocked the others into silence.
“I- I wouldn’t put it that way.” Jxx chirped, stuttering in the process. Jxx really only wanted to defuse the situation. Jxx had a positive outlook on humans, and if Jxx was going to be completely honest, they weren’t too much of a threat unless threatened. Sort of like the animal native to the Crylaxxaian planet, the Zerrgbez.
“Well, how would you put it?” Ur’a snarked back and Jxx was at a loss for words. On one claw, Jxx wanted to argue with the egotistical Crylaxxaian, but the professional side said to get back on track and plan accordingly for the situation.
“Perhaps what Jxx is trying to say is that there’s no need to be so harsh?” Le’q suggested. “Perhaps we can continue with our original conversation? There’s no rush, believe me, but I think it would be best to send a reply soon.” Comm nodded and agreed.
Have you guys ever heard of gaze detection? It’s when you feel like someone is staring at you and you start to get nervous and anxious?
Like the only time you get this feeling is when Someone is staring at you hardcore. They won’t stop looking at you, so when you get this feeling it’s common to start looking around for the source of the stare.
What if aliens don’t have this? You can stare at them for hours and they won’t even shift uncomfortably or become anxious. What if only humans have this?
It’s been a week since the new human climbed aboard our ship. It is well known they are an interesting and somewhat terrifying species that, surprisingly, are very knew to the Alliance. But even though they were fresh to the universe, they somehow were able to be a big influence.
So naturally most of us stared at the new human in curiosity. It was a male from what we could gather and he was a loud human. He would talk all the time with the other members of the crew and would make noises while he worked. “Outgoing” as the humans described it.
But something strange happens to him when we are looking at him. He could be talking to a crew member or doing his work when I start to stare for more then a few minutes I mean, he’s just so strange looking and he seems harmless from the outside that I couldn’t help but stare.
Suddenly he stiffens, grows quiet. The room is completely silent. It sets me on edge. Is something wrong with him? Is he sick?
Suddenly the human snaps his head towards me with his forehead hair down “frowning”, he’s staring right at me.
I shriek internally and panick. Oh no he’s mad he’s going to kill me? How did he know I was looking at him?! Does he have sensors or something?!?! Damn it I knew I shouldn’t have been alone with him!
I quickly hovered out of the room and hid behind a generator. I pray to Xbephon he doesn’t find me.
The Human shook his head and continued back to his work. Mumbling about “weird aliens, I was just going to ask them to stop staring.”
@pixlpit-protection-squad I had another idea for a dark persona name. i know robin liked crow but I just thought about this and i gotta get it out
Pixlpitch
pitch is a sticky resinous black or dark brown substance that is semiliquid when hot, hard when cold. It is obtained by distilling tar or petroleum and is used for waterproofing.
so you know how sometimes dark personas are drawn with black eyes and sometimes black tears? That would definitely work. (itd also work for sound, like in vids sound might be super high pitched and grating, who knows) and it’d help to make Robin’s dark persona a bit different than Jack’s.
I just recreated a tutorial I saw a long time ago. If anyone happens upon please feel free to add it.
I’ve gotten into a habit of emphasizing my knees more cause I just like the way it looks but you can always go with a less pronounced “knee bump”.
I should also note that this diagram works better for more feminine characters as masculine characters tend to be a tad more angular. Although don’t feel like you have to always abide by that as it is not a hard set rule. At the end of the day art is subjective and you are free to create characters as you wish.
While this reference can be a starting point for drawing thicker or more muscular characters I would recommend other references for those body types. Thicker characters can end up curvier and have rolls and such to take into account when drawing them, and muscular characters have more subtle lines to show definition.
I would also suggest looking up anatomy diagrams to study the leg muscles and bones. This helps you understand why legs curve and bend the way they do.
If you happen to be having trouble with proportioning the legs keep this in mind as you measure it out:
legs are typically the same height as the torso and head combined unless you are going for a particular style
the thigh is longer than the calf, I usually draw it out as being from the bottom of the foot to the knee when compared side by side
when bent completely back the heel of the foot just about touches the bottom of the butt (the under butt if you will)
Listen, I LOVE Anti okay, but it seems like that fandom is jumping at shadows at this point. Theories are really cool, but don’t let them consume you. At the end of the day this is a cheesy, spooky thing. Don’t let fun rob you of sleep, or peace of mind, or of basic sanity. And I say this as someone who has sent “cryptic” anons. We don’t have to set things on fire over everything, and when Jack says no (and I mean NO not “I don’t know ;)”) then leave it be. Don;t put unnecessary pressure on Jack and Robin, and don’t put that pressure on yourself.
Its just for fun, let it be that.
Thank you for pointing it out! And guys, generally stating this does not mean that anyone is hating or trying to “ruin the fun” either! Theorizing is great and fun, we all love Anti, but don’t let it spiral down into something that it wasn’t meant to be. And please stop fighting over it. I’ve seen a lot of negative reaction towards these kinds of positively meant reminders even directed towards myself personally, so just keep in mind that it’s reasoned and not meant to offend anyone in any way.
People who point out these valid informations aren’t trying to ruin your fun with Anti. This needs to be pointed out in order to be be able to keep Anti around and nice and fun for everyone for as long as possible without anyone growing tired or annoyed by it.
Just always remember that “Anti” is an event that happens once in a while and isn’t present all the time. You’ll notice once the hints start back up. And then you can grow literally crazy with it again in the best ways possible! We all can! Because that’s what Anti is; it brings the community together in an amazing way. It’s motivation and fun and a general good time. Jack does it for all of us, not for his own benefits. So let’s respect his decisions and accept when it’s over for a while and wait with open eyes and arms for Anti to come back some day. For him to surprise us again. Don’t force it on anybody. 🙂
I reblogged the original post earlier, but THIS is also very, very important.
Hype is exciting, it’s fun, it’s very easy to get into it. But now that we know Anti won’t be back for a while, it’s time to calm down a bit. That doesn’t mean to stop all together, but don’t jump at every detail/ reference either.
And don’t, DON’T bully people for having a different opinion/ view.
DO NOT EVER claim someone’s not a “true fan” for EITHER liking or disliking the entire Anti concept too much/ not enough.
That’s not fair for anyone.
We as a community are better than that.
How do you think Jack would feel if he sees it (which, honestly he probably has)? He said so himself that Anti is one of the favorite/ best things to do on the channel.
With this pointless drama he might shy away from it (and I won’t blame him, no Anti= no fan conflict).
