In response to @radioactivepeasant‘s post on how humans are the fair folk of the universe…
Never let yourself be lured into one of their “nightclubs.” A place where delight turns to mania, they say that humans spend eternity dancing beneath blinding lights in a constant state of frenzy. Once you have entered, they will not allow you to leave.
Be warned. Time moves strangely when in the Human world. Keep an eye on the hours, else you’ll find you’ve gone through an entire day in a handful of minutes. As the chilling Human saying goes; Time Flies when you’re Having Fun
Do not play their games. Humans are known tricksters and their “games,” while first appearing innocent, can quickly become deadly.
Be wary when seeking help from a human. While it is true that many are benign and will not accept payment for their aid, most will require equal recompense for their time.
on that note, Humans do not enjoy being in debt to another. Not accepting payment for services rendered will insult and anger them.
If you are in the company of humans, be cautious when leaving. They will try and persuade you to stay. Be wary of the phrase “just one more…” You will not be seen again.
Tread with caution when interacting with humans. They are fickle and vain creatures. Be wary when seeking their favour, for it is for their own enjoyment that they indulge you.
Before Steven was born Amethyst used to say ‘fuck’ all the time & so when he was a baby Greg had to sit her down and explain that she has to stop swearing around Steven because he’s young & impressionable
So Amethyst is like “but that’s my favourite word, when will be stop being young & impressionable so I can say it again??”
And Greg is like “uhh I don’t know, 15 I guess? 15 is probably old enough”
“Got it”
flash forward to Steven’s fifteenth birthday and he is woken at dawn by Amethyst yelling “wake the FUCK up Steven it’s FUCKING TIME”
& he spends the entire day losing his mind
Steven: w-what’s happening
Garnet: *deadpan* Amethyst just got her favourite word back
Amethyst: *running around the house* FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
Greg: what’s going on
Amethyst: you said once Steven was 15 I could say fuck again
Greg, who only hazily recalls the conversation in question: ……i DID?
Amethyst: *runs outside* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK *distant sounds of spooked birds*
Pearl: Steven the *whispering* F-word is a bad word that Amethyst USED to say before-
Steven: I know what fuck means Pearl
Amethyst: *stopping dead in her tracks* WHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATT??
Pearl: who taught you that word mister!!
Steven: um… Lars and Sadie… *mumbling* five years ago…
Amethyst: I’ve been denying myself my favourite word for FIVE YEARS for NOTHING??
Greg: uh even if he knows what it means it’s still not really appropriate for you t-
My ireland native father once told me that the first time he ever saw people use water for hot chocolate was when he came to america, and said that it was then that he “knew this country was doomed”
ive made a lot of posts that i honestly hate once they started making notes but this one has absolutely taken the cake of “man i really wish i didn’t make this post” because you dont realize how dumb people get when you start food discourse.
however it was definitely a learning experience. for example here’s some things I learned:
-many people who make hot chocolate with water saw this post and somehow thought that my dad literally thinks they’re the doom of modern america and that this out of text quote from a man they never met was personally directed at them.
-Some people literally had never even had the thought of using milk for hot chocolate. literally flabbergasted. ive had people reply, send asks and even DM in multiple variations of “if it not water than what the else?”. Had one dude actually thank me for introducing the concept of milk for hot chocolate. wild.
-There are just some fucking geniuses on this site. So many inanely smart people hitting me up with things like “ummm OP have you ever heard of… lactose intolerance????” and “maybe some people… can’t afford milk?” I never possibly thought of any of that. man i hope yall felt super smart after that. shame yall couldn’t spend some of that riveting world knowledge on googling “lactose intolerant milk alternatives.” the world will never discover what almond milk is.
-some shit about the difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa holy god i cannot care
-fungi fucker is something you can call people.
-apparently i should just do whatever the fuck the aztecs/mayans did. obviously the optimal thing to do in the year 2017 is to emulate empires that fell in the 16-17th century. as you can guess the aztecs/mayans used water for their chocolate beverages. some people also liked to remind me cows and therefore milk were basically unavailable in their part of the world during these time peroids, thus forcing them to use water for their chocolate beverages and despite them knowing this they still use water for their hot chocolate. These people are very smart.
-it is acceptable human behavior to send anonymous messages to people telling their dad to “simmer down” over chocolate based beverages.
butter.
fucking butter.
i hate this post man there’s some guy in these replies who uses potato starch in hot chocolate stop reblogging it
Does anyone else notice that Connor seems to be the only android that twitches when doing any sort of transmission? I first noticed this when he was talking to the desk clerk. When she was receiving authorization from Connor.
She seems to have no problem at all. But Connor is clearly twitching almost like he is struggling.
This isn’t the only time Connor also has his twitching “problem”. He also twitches when receiving a report about a suspecting deviant.
Connor is the only Android in the game that struggles with these transmissions. I took a look at other sences and Connor is the only one that blinks like this.
Even Markus doesn’t have any struggle and he is also a prototype like Connor.
By the way I see it Connor is a very fidgety Android and can’t seem to stay still. He moves his hands a lot and can’t even sit on a chair long enough to wait for hank. He twitches when receiving transmissions and always needs to be doing something.
Do you guys have any theories about it? If you guys do hmu!
As someone who has both, kinda makes me think of someone with ADHD or Aspbergurs form of Autism.

PMA isn’t constantly finding reasons to smile. PMA isn’t constantly looking for the good things that come with the bad. PMA isn’t having a grin on your face at all times, faking positivity until you make it, or telling yourself to “just be happier because there’s always something to smile about in the community!”.
PMA is letting yourself feel sad. PMA is letting the negative emotions happen as they come. PMA is having the internal strength to let yourself process them in a healthy way and then finding a reason to smile again after it’s all said and done.
Bottom line is, we’re humans. We’re all going to feel down at some point. It’s going to happen. And that’s normal and healthy. It’s 100% okay– it’s much worse if you try to suppress it.
“PMA” wasn’t made to combat feeling down, or to make sure it doesn’t ever happen to you or anyone else around you.
A real positive mental attitude is how you recover yourself from feeling down in a healthy way whenever it DOES happen.
Real PMA is having the strength to follow the beacon after losing sight of it, not forcefully shining the light in everyone’s eyes.
(… I dunno, I just think this is something the community has needed to hear lately. Seeing the skewed definition used so much can be… suffocating, especially if you’re like me and haven’t been in the greatest headspace lately.)
Do you think sometimes we can have a little too much positivity towards Seán lately?!
I know is probably dumb thinking, but I know if you have too much of negativity or positivity for anybody isn’t good! Just thinking out loud here!
Not just Jack, but towards anyone. And I agree.
I agree as well. There comes a point where being super “positive” towards anyone can supress their ability to feel the negative things and let them pass in a healthy way. There’s a difference between being super “positive” and reminding people that there’s always a reason they should be smiling all the time and PMA.
We’re humans. We’re allowed to feel things, good and bad. PMA is learning how to smile after the bad, not smiling in order to fight against the bad.
