I rarely criticize my wife, but when I do, it’s spoken directly to her, in private, and with love.
I don’t speak negatively about my wife to other people. Not because she’s perfect (which is an impossible and unfair standard) but because she deserves a husband she can trust. To say anything about my wife that I wouldn’t say to her face, would be a betrayal of that trust.
I never want her to spend a single moment worrying about the way I talk about her when she’s not around.
A little louder

(is that loud enough?)
Works both ways, obviously.
Works for anyone you care about.
It’s okay if you’re sitting rethinking anything you might have said about a loved one. I am doing right now and I will do better in the future.
((This is probably going to be more… commentary, I suppose? Abstract for sure. PoV: the Host.)) Enjoy~
Life has a way of turning dreams into nightmares. Certainly, it does, doesn’t it? Think of all who live in this house. Think of the way their lives were shattered.
You know the tale of Dark and Wilford, as do I. It leaves me wondering if Damien is content, knowing he’s still in a position of power, but power over us egos, keeping us in line. Perhaps it bugs him that Celine’s iron will is what we see at the forefront. Perhaps, those moments when Dark looks truly exasperated are when Damien has most control.
Oh, that’s just simple, wishful thinking isn’t it? We all know the Mayor and Seer are gone.
And Wilford. Can we fault the Colonel for following his heart? Certainly, and we must. No, he didn’t deserve the fate he received. But he also shouldn’t have deceived a close friend. Or, perhaps they were brothers? Step-brothers maybe, or half? The details keep changing. The theories muddy the canon. I enjoy hearing them, of course.
Then, there’s myself, isn’t there? With my blood soaked bandages and my constant chatter; there’s so much speculation on what happened to me. I’m flattered, honestly. There’s also the interpretation that I know. I know this is all a story. A post on a blog on a website. Interesting place to write such things, it builds a nice community, doesn’t it?
Perhaps I would have posted my work here. If my eyes hadn’t been robbed of me. Would I have had any followers? We’ll never know.
Life, turning dreams into nightmares. What does life do to those who start out as nightmares?
In my opinion, life robs the nightmare of sight, and watches as he writhes, trying to find his purpose again.
Mark: I’m sorry—Hello, how are— Googleplier: How are you feeling? Mark: Um, not great. Googleplier: Has the treatment been working? Mark: Uh, I don’t think so, no. Googleplier: What are your remaining symptoms? Mark: I just—I internalize my feelings a lot. I have trouble articulating how I’m feeling to other people. I feel like I just—.
Googleplier: So basically you’re still a little bitch.
Mark: Yes, very mature of you disembodied voice way up there. Googleplier: I was just joking, n**ga Mark: All right, you’re not as safe in Wisconsin as you might think with that shit. Googleplier: I’m not human I can say whatever I want. Mark: Okay, just let’s get to the point. What’s wrong with me, please? Please. Googleplier:—Your emotions and your logic are at war. Mark:—OK. Googleplier: Your creativity and your analysis are at war. And most simply, your Egos are at war. Mark: My egos—. Googleplier: To fix the problem we must separate them from each other. Mark: Sep— Googleplier: Splitting your neurological functions in 5… 4… Mark: Can we book an appointment or something? Googleplier: 3… Mark: You just don’t start counting down to major medical procedures. Googleplier: 2… 1. This may hurt a bit. Mark: I don’t even know what ‘it’ is. Googleplier: 0. Mark: Just tell me what you’re—.
Googleplier: —Isolation complete. This is Mark’s Dark Ego: objective, logical, cold, analytical, aware of patterns, aware of trends, he’s efficient, and a Dick. This is Mark’s Insane Ego: subjective, creative, sensory, aware of feelings, aware of people, he’s emotional, and a Psychopath. Wilford: That’s your opinion. Just careful with opinions. Googleplier: Okay, boys, play nice.
Dark:
I am the Left Brain, I am the Left Brain. I work really hard ‘til my inevitable death brain. You got a job to do, you better do it right, and the right way is with the left brain’s might.
Wilford:
I like Oreos and pussy, yeah (yes, in that order)! And I cried for at least an hour after Who Killed Markiplier 4! (Damien!) I am the Right Brain, I have feelings. I’m a little all over the place But I’m lustful, trustful and I’m looking for somebody to love… Or put my penis in.
Dark:
Here comes a female, here comes a female. Puff your chest out, take your phone and check your e-mail. Our evolutionary purpose is repopulate. So gather data now and see if she’s a possible mate.
Wilford:
Holy fuck I think she might be the one, there’s something about her, I just can’t describe it.
Dark:
Tits.
Wilford:
I am a knife, she’s a silver shotgun
I want her to trust me and I just want her to—how do I say this—sit on my face! Sit! Sit on my face!
Dark:
Alright now, Wilford, you’re being insane.
Wilford:
No, Darki, I’m just being alive. You should try it, you might like it.
Dark:
I worked hard to give him everything he cared about. You were worried about the things that he was scared about. I’m calm and collected when you act wild. I am the adult, you are the child.
Wilford:
You think you’re the right one every time. You think you know everything but you don’t know anything at all. Half of his problems were supposed to be mine. But you wanted everything. I hope that you’re happy ‘cause he’s sure not.
Dark: Well, according to my calculations. I’m sorry, let me run the numbers again, um, you’re a pussy. Wilford: Name calling? Really? You’re gonna just do name calling? Dark: I’m not calling names, alright. I’m just stating facts and the fact is you’re a quivering pussy. Wilford: I’m the pussy? Well, at least I don’t play with toys still, OK… Dark: Damiens cane is not a toy. It’s the only thing we have left of- Wilford: Darki plays with toys! Look at you, Mr… you’re a toy player.
Dark: Well, at least I did my fucking job, alright. I kept him working, I kept him productive. You were supposed to look after him. You were supposed to keep him emotionally stable through all this. Now you’re trying to blame me for how he’s feeling, how he’s feeling! If he’s feeling unhappy it’s because you failed him. You did this to him, he hates you. Colonel. He fucking hates you!
Wilford:
[*crying*]
Dark:
Wilford, look, I’m sorry, okay?
Wilford:
No, you’re not.
Dark:
Look, maybe there’s something that we could do together.
Wilford:
Together?
Dark:
Take the best parts of both of us and put them together.
Wilford:
I’m listening.
Dark:
It would let you let your feelings out, it would let me in. So you could man the themes; I’ll man the form. It’s something that George Carlin did, It’s something that Steve Martin did. It’s something special that we could both perform. Do you know what it is?
Wilford:
Murdering, we could murder, murder our cares away!-
Dark:
It was… It was comedy, you, fuck it, we could do comedy together.
Googleplier:
Initiate reassembly.
Dark: All right, Wilford, we’re gonna do comedy together, we gotta do comedy together. Wilford: All right, Darki, I’ll do comedy with you. Dark: Look, we can fix him like this—we can make him happy again. I promise, all right? Googleplier: 5, 4, 3. Wilford: Damien… Celine.. I love you. Googleplier: —2. Dark: We know.
