so i saw IT in the movie theater back when it first came out, and i watched it again tonight with my family cos we rented it. and i remember how jack was kinda getting inspiration from IT to maybe incorporate into Anti’s storyline.
So I was thinking.
In “Say Goodbye,” Anti was able to get Jack by cutting his throat with a knife. And jack had mentioned in the past how one of his fears was being stabbed with a knife.
With “Always Watching,” we didnt see jack die on screen here. But the screen blacked out and anti took over once the “normal” recording of jack was corrupting and interupted by him. Thus, in a way, corresponding with jack’s fear of “found footage” type stuff.
In “Kill Jacksepticeye,” Schneep was the one Anti was really hammering after. and the screen blacked out in glitches once Schneep failed at saving Jack.
So, would it be safe to say that maybe Anti doesnt necessarily “win” (take over/corrupt/evilize?/etc) by killing the person. but rather, kinda like pennywise, through making their worst fears a reality?
Because we saw in Schneep’s power hour video how upset he got at A) losing his doctor license, and moreso B) not being able to save Peter. and Peter was just his silly accountant, imagine how traumatized schneep was when he found his best friend on friggin Halloween.
So it makes sense as well, as to why schneep was able to stop Anti from making him choke on his headphone cables. Because Schneeplestein’s worst fear wouldnt be himself dying, like jack. It’d be him trying his absolute hardest to be a real-enough doctor to save Jack, but still ending up killing and failing him. And thus, Schneep might’ve never been actually killed and is still alive, somewhere. But when we do see him next time, he’ll be just as far away from saving as Jack is right now….
So tl;dr (kinda)- Anti wouldn’t necessarily waste precious time and resources to kill every ego, he’d just have to play on whatever fears/weaknesses they have in order to manipulate them like puppets. Like maybe Chase is already a goner cos he was losing Stacy and the Kids. or…actually idk what the other egos’ fears would be, but you get the picture.

…. The idea of Anti having the ability to infect anyone’s mind to discover their biggest fear, and using it against them in any/ every way he can is terrifying.
So imagine highschool age Mark, William, Damian, and Celine and like
William goes up to Celine and asks who she thinks is Best Boy to settle an argument between him and Mark and Celine points at Damien “the best baby brother who has done nothing wrong in his life, ever” and honestly neither Mark nor William can dispute it
I could go into a literal essay answer (and almost did), but I think it’s Anti.
I always see Dark as ‘corporate evil’. Dark has a very business-like appearance. He uses patience and tactical ‘business’ decisions to get his way. He speaks as a manager; using corporate jargon to twist lies into professional, fool-proof logic. He abuses power and twists your needs for his own gain; his greed, his lust for control. He IS evil, but he’s quiet, insidious evil and that tends to fall under the radar. Nobody really trusts him, but nobody knows the full extent of his plans until it’s too late. He sits under the radar, ‘I provide a service’, he drones in a warm, deep voice, ‘I can give you everything you need’, he whispers ‘Go back to sleep’.
Anti is chaotic evil and that’s the most jarring. It’s in your face; no apologies, no secrecy, no hidden agenda. You can immediately SEE that he’s a psychotic, highly dangerous threat. And man, what a threat he is. He will force you to watch as he slits the throats of your loved ones – or, rather, as he forces them to slit their own throat for your entertainment. He will laugh at your pain as he draws out torture for fun, slowly tearing a panicked doctor apart from the inside out over months. He leaves blood and broken psyches like footsteps in his wake and publicly toys with every host he destroys. He’s not above creating a loved one JUST so he can rip them away and laugh at us. We’re fascinated. We’re terrified. We’re hooked to the show from Minimum Safe Distance. Or so we think.
On a personal level Dark will give you what you think you need. He’ll entertain you, distract you, claim to protect you, coax you into doing his bidding. On a global level that gives him outrageous power.
Anti will fascinate and terrify you, keep you glued to the screen until he finds a way in. He’ll shift and squirm and scrape in your mind, eroding and glitching and slicing his way into your psyche. He’ll torment and torture and bring you screaming to your knees and he’ll laugh.
Dark will enslave the world’s population.
Anti will bring it to an agonised, screaming halt.
Which of those two outcomes is the most evil, is down to interpretation.

For me, it depends. Anti is clearly more evil, but in terms of what is scary, they’re both terrifying. Anti, as you have said is very in your face, loud and leaves people with broken minds and exhausted bodies. He will tear and scream at the camera, demanding that you pay attention, that you can’t look away, so look! Look at him! Whereas dark is a much quieter evil. He’s unpredictable, impossible to read. Which scares the crap out of me. He has a hidden anger that occasionally will boil over in out of character shouts and screams. He demands that you look with a single word, with a single, furious eye movement. So which is more evil?

How they present themselves to scare us is very different, but equally terrifying. Dark is sophisticated. Anti is chaotic. Both of you explained why above me.
But switch roles for a sec. We’ve seen Dark boil over, losing his composure, his shell shatter only a few times. If we ever see that more expanded/ realized, it would be terrifying. You know it’s possible; we’ve seen it, and the fact that we never know when it might happen or what caused it?… For someone so in control of himself, to have it lost and at his mercy is like a ticking time bomb.
Anti on the other hand, we’ve seen him in a literal full rage. Yelling. Violent. Uncontrollable. To the point he cursed at us for the first time. It was scary to witness. But (at least, on camera), we’ve never seen him as calm as Dark’s ever present demeanor. If we did… Imagine for a sec how unnerving that would be. If we got a video where it started off with Anti calm and collected (oh- still having the effects and glitches so we would know it’s him, but even they would be reduced), before exploding into his usual glitch frenzy.
Those brief times where Anti just watches us, calm and calculating before slipping into a smile are the most unnerving moments for me (besides that one time he externally made Jack glitch by touch)

I have an unshakeable mental image of Disney. Like they’d say “We need a new star. Go interview young, squeaky-clean models so we can precisely mould them into carbon copy influencers.”
But no. Jack’s network got bought out.
And now our loud “Cunt-Motherfucker-Buttcrack” McGee is a fucking Disney star. DISNEY! And somehow it fits. It works perfectly.

So I didn’t know this until today, it’s the coolest thing I’ve seen all week.
Just had a random thought. What if they made a movie out of this? Like a full on animated, feature-length movie featuring Jack as the hero, and Anti as the villain. I’d pay good money to see that.
To get that type of Anti vs Jack type of movie (live action or animated)? 😮 I have no idea what it could be about or how it would be made (or even if Jack himself would want to go that big with Anti- or if it might be overkill? How much control would he have over a project like that? Lots of conflicting views, etc).
People on this site outright calling the Game Grumps horrible people is kinda hilarious to me because I’m pretty sure both Danny and Arin combined are much kinder than any assholes on this hellsite.

Nah, angels isn’t the right word. The Game Grumps have messed up in the past and done a few problematic things. But the thing is that they’re REAL PEOPLE. When you make videos that are mostly unedited and have more genuine banter compared to other lets players out there, you’re bound to show your faults. But real people fucking work.
What makes a person good or bad is if their willing to make up for their mistakes or try to learn from them. The Grumps in particular have gone out of their way to fix things for other people if their informed if they’ve done anything harmful (two good examples would be the trigger warning placed at the start of the disney princess playthrough and the section of the sonic adventure playthrough that outed the name of someone who created a walkthrough being cut out for their safety).
I’m not gonna lie, they’ll probably make more mistakes in the future. But that’s okay! Because that’s all part of being a developing human being. Don’t ever let Tumblr’s shitty witch hunt mentality tell you otherwise.
