Ok, interesting thing I just discovered.

I was curious as if the ribbons on the colonel’s jacket meant anything

(I am aware that they may mean nothing military-wise and were just their as a nod towards William’s transformation into Warfstache, with the red and white stripes)

But I looked up military ribbons and the only thing I found close to the ribbons the Colonel wears was this:

Then I thought ‘Nicaragua rings a bell, but where?’

Then I remembered:

(he actually says “I got my medical licence from Nicaragua”)

So, here’s a thought you guys could develop from.

When Will was in the army… was he a soldier… or a doctor?… 

What if the Surgeon Simulator is in reference to Dr. Iplier and that how he and the Colonel meet? What if they met in the military in Nicaragua??????
