What things would make humans be classified as ‘space fae’?

I am absolutely no expert on the subject, but when I think of fae or the fair folk, I typically think of weird customs, superstition, things that are almost natural but not quite, trickery, deception, etc.

I see a lot of these characteristics in humans. In folklore, people are constantly baffled and confused by fairies and their behavior, and oftentimes, this leads to our downfall. I’m not saying that aliens would be destroyed because of our behavior, but they might be confused, for sure.

The main similarity I see is superstitious rituals. In humans, we throw salt over our shoulders, knock on wood, see opening an umbrella indoors and walking under a ladder as bad luck, and many other things. One of the main fairy things is picking up and counting spilled sugar/salt and counting individual pieces. To us, this seems time consuming, and pointless, but it’s something they have to do. Aliens might see some of the stuff we do the same way, particularly knocking on wood.

This isn’t very in depth, and I apologize. As I said, I’m no expert, but thank you for the ask! Also, sorry it had taken literally months to answer; I have no other excuse other than this is who I am as a person.
