Robbie groaned softly as he sauntered into the kitchen, craving something to eat. Unfortunately everyone was either away or too busy to help him, but he figured he could get some food himself no problem.
Lucky for them, he’s become adept to eating other things besides flesh, like candy, pizza, or cooked meat.
Rubbing his eye, he stood in front of the fridge and curled his grey, stitched fingers around the handle. It took him several tries, but eventually he managed to get it open despite his arm nearly popping out of its socket. The zombie didn’t think he had to use that much force to get it open.
The first thing he saw made him drool a little: it was a large, one pound, fruit punch-flavored gummy in the shape of a brain.
Was it for him? It had to be. Nobody in the house loved gummies and chewy stuff more than him, of course!
As Robbie reached for it, though, he noticed something sitting in front of it that…he didn’t think belonged in a fridge. It was a note of some kind and small, black gauges.
When he grabbed them, though, upon closer examination he realized they had white skulls painted on them. With a small hum he felt the black gauges he already had on, before looking at his nails to see some of the paint had chipped off.
He was probably long overdue for some new ones.
After setting them down on the table he grabbed the gummy and placed it beside the gauges, before taking the note and reading it:
The gummy and the glow-in-the-dark gauges are all for you. Only the best for the sweetest zombie that I’ve ever met -The Gauge Gifter
Robbie smiled a bit, flattered by the sweet message of this unknown person. He hummed and sat down at the table, seeing that something was written on the other side of the paper:
The skulls glow, but do you know who else can make things glow, too?
He blinked slowly in surprise, although he had an idea of who you were referring to.
But the smell of fruit-punch overwhelmed his senses and he decided to set aside the note for now as he began to ravenously dig into the gummy brain.
