Twas the night before Christmas, when all through this space
Not a creature was stirring, not even Chase.
He slept in his bed, as sound as a bear,
With no idea what might be hiding in there. The doctor was nestled all snug at his desk,
While his visions of terror were nothing but grotesque.
And Jackie in his jumpsuit, and Marvin in his cape,
Had just settled in their rooms with no means of escape. When above his head there arose such a clatter,
Henrik sprang from his chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the door he flew like a flash,
He broke off the doorknob and ran through with a crash. The moonlight shining through through the window,
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to his terrified eyes should appear,
But a pool of blood and a figure drawing near. With a great shiny knife, and a smile like a witch,
He knew in a moment it must be the glitch.
More rapid than eagles the other egos came,
And the glitch whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!“Now Henrik! now, Marvin! now, Jackie, you halt!
I see you’ve caught me in the middle of my assault!
Look down here to the remains of your friend!
I’ve gone and made him cause his own end!”They all stumbled back in terror,
as they soon realized their error.
They should not have let their guards down,
So the glitch took his knife and swung it around. And then, in a second, the glitch absconded,
Leaving nothing but a body with a hole in his head.
Down the stairs they went with a bound,
As they all succumbed to a meltdown. They hunkered in the basement with a phone on mute,
When on the screen appeared eyes black as soot.
Marvin flung the device at the wall with a crack,
And they all realized their demise was back. His eyes-how they flickered! his face, how bloody!
His cheeks were like a canvas, all splattered and muddy!
His crooked little mouth was turned up in a grin,
And the beard of his chin was patchy, revealing reddened skin. The sharpened blade he held tight in his fist,
And the blood drip-dropped from his wrist.
He had a wide eyes and an aura of green,
That flickered when he laughed, like an old TV screen! He was thin and tall, like an armature of wire,
And they screamed when they saw him, knowing the situation was dire!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon let them know they had everything to dread. He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And swung his blade, then turned with a jerk.
With one last glance to admire this scene,
he turns toward you and looks right through your screen.“͜Y̛o̴u̕ tho͡ught ̴thi̶s ̷wa͝s̵ ̕j͠ust a̢ p͝o̡em,̡ ̧did̨n͞’͝t͠ ̕you,̸ m̛y̧ p͞u͏p̕pe̕t?
