What if something happened. And it caused Dark to fall apart.
Literally.
One second Dark is standing there, the next Damien and Celine are back; the entity that helped bind them together seeming to have disappeared. (Perhaps off to find a new host) They’re left in a room full of egos
The first thing in their minds is confusion.
Damien and Celine have been stuck together for so long, they don’t realize they’re doing it… they are drawn to each other.
Something happens in the room, they’ll both stand up at the same time shouting “Hey!” to gain attention, to be in control. They’re both so use to being in control!
Something frightens them because they aren’t the powerful demon anymore, they don’t realizing it but they lean towards eachother.
They’re stronger together.
There are moments where they’re just sitting beside each other, not talking because they’re so used to the presence but no words being said.
And then there are days where they can’t stand to be near each other.
If you were brother and sister, and you were forced to be stuck together for years you’d be sick of seeing your sibling.
“Why can’t you just leave me alone!”
“I need some space!”
they’re sick of each other, but when they enter the same room, they’re beside each other again. They don’t even realize it.
Another issue is relationships.
Especially with Wilford.
They don’t know what to feel. Damien was always the Colonel’s best friend… Celine was his lover.
As Dark they had been close to him.
But now Damien finds himself lightly brushing hands With wilford; before pulling away confused. Years of sharing Celine’s feelings… he doesn’t know what to think.
And Wilford simply looks at him in confusion.
Dark had enjoyed the dark parts of Wilford. The killings and the insanity. But it frightens Celine.
She always claimed he was a good man, but now she’s not sure.
The other ego’s aren’t much easier. They don’t know how to act. Dark was they’re leader… now… he’s gone. Replaced by two humans who know everything but can’t do anything…
Damien doesn’t realize it at first… but he’s not the man he once was. The human mayor who was proud of his city, believing in fairness and had concern for living people around him…
after years of only being your worst, he’s bitter now. Angry at Mark. Angry that this Mark…the youtuber is so loved… learning about the Who Killed Markiplier videos doesn’t improve his mood.
He’s colder now.
Celine is very much the same. She always had a knack for influencing people… turning everyone against the District Attorney with ease… now she does it for personal gain with little to no hesitation.
Damien who used to be wise to this, no longer cares. Staying silent on the matter. Why should he care when no one cared about them?
