The day Jack casually adjusts his headphones during a video and we get the briefest glimpse of gauges underneath them is the day I ascend from this planet and punch the sun with both hands while screaming myself inside out.
This too I can very easily see happen someday.

The intro would be completely normal. Jack opens the game he’s going to play and he seems giddy about it. “I’m so happy this is working this time. I’ve had so many problems with it, you have no idea. I’ve tried all week and it kept crashing or glitching out on me. Yesterday I had to switch the whole thing off for a while. Pro tip! If your game is broken, fucking stab it until it cooperates!” This is said with joke-anger (though it seems a bit off, like maybe he’s TOO into it?) and then he smirks directly at the camera for a second before going back to the game.
“This is way more fun than I thought it would be. I have no idea how long I’ll be able to play this without it crashing and kicking me out again, there’s so many bugs in this thing. I just need… to level up! Show it who’s boss!” He sounds angry again out of nowhere. The video is hard to follow, kind of disjointed. There’s no glitches but it’s been edited in fast cuts and Jack is flickering between a giddy excitability, and outbursts of what you assume (hope) is joke rage.
Sometimes the video cuts to him just intensely focused on the game, saying nothing. The odd thing is, the game footage seems to be frozen in these moments. He’s staring at the screen in silence, seemingly concentrating hard on the game, but he’s not actually playing it. You’d think the whole video had frozen, game and face cam, if he didn’t eventually mumble “Fuck. Off.” You guess he’s saying this about something within the game, but you can’t be sure.
It cuts again and he’s laughing about something, but the video is so all over the place you honestly can’t tell what it was or where he’s up to in the game. It even seems like some clips are out of order in the video. The whole thing is a mess and something is clearly off. Jack is still laughing, but it’s a disturbing sound rather than a happy one. “Oh man this game is so much fun, I can’t believe I get to do this!” While he’s talking, he adjusts his headphones and for just a moment his ears are visible. It’s just a second but it’s long enough to spot the gauges before he covers them back up. He doesn’t seem to realise the slip up, since he carries on as he was, but you’re sure you notice a slightly smug smile on his lips, and the briefest glance at the camera.
i think i would love this… and then disappear into oblivion
