It’s the evening of October 31. It’s 4.58 pm, millions
of viewers have gathered in front of their screens to see what Jack uploads in
2 minutes – they still have hope something special happens. You know, halloween,
Anti, all that stuff…

The clock jumps to 5. And 5.01. And 5.02…
The first people start realizing. Something is not right.
It’s 5.05. Nothing. This is not normal. It’s not their phones, or the delay, or
their slow internet.
It’s 5.10. It wouldn’t worry people that much if it wasn’t that VERY special
day… The first people start tweeting, the theorists start writing, “where are
you”-posts appear on Tumblr.
At 5.16, a Twitter notification makes their phones whistle. Jack wrote: “Upload
went wrong again, looks like my internet doesn’t like me today… Sorry guys!
It should be up in 2 minutes :)”

The community calms down a little – until they see
what the video is: Observer – the glitchy, eerie, atmospheric game SO many
people missed. The majority immediately clicks it and enjoys seeing Jack play the game again after such a long time.They are glad he finally decided to actually finish it.

He does his outro, just as usual. His voice sounds a
little scratchy, but that’s no surprise after a 90 minute video, which probably
took even longer to record. Robin’s animated outro screen appears – Sam in the
middle, the link to “Say goodbye” on the left, “Kill Jacksepticeye” on the
right… Flashbacks of past events take over people’s thoughts. They all
remember it. Get that weird, but wicked feeling crawling up their spines. Start shuddering joyfully, almost ecstatically at the thought of past happenings.

But instead of the usual little after-outro clip, the
screen turns completely black. Loud static buzzing fills thousands of
headphones. And white letters start appearing on the screen, while Anti laughs
manically in the background.

Fuck, THIS!! ALL OF THIS!!! I’ve been holding onto hope that Observer will come back, but given how long it’s been since the last upload – and since a lot of us, including Jack himself, have gotten Anti vibes from it – I keep thinking “what-if”! If anything like this remotely happens….
