Robbie’s Awakening Part 8

martinplier:

(Hey so I’m gonna probably take a break from writing this for a bit. It’s two more days until school starts so I’m gonna be getting a lot busier. I’ll still try and write it but a new part probably won’t be posted everyday. Sorry guys)

There has been so many new and confusing smells, voices and people all around him and he’s been very confused. If it weren’t for Marvin’s guiding hand then he would have been completely lost. So, when they are finally left alone and are still more than five seconds, Robbie finds great relief in these facts.

He stays standing in the same spot until Marvin guides him to a large and comfortable surface and he can’t stop himself from flipping face first into it. He can just hear Marvin laugh but he’s so tired and hungry. Maybe if he just laid here and closed his eyes he could forget his hungers and other pains…

“You going to sleep, Rob?” Marvin asked him in a soft tone with amusement in it. A hand rubs up and down his spine and even though he can feel some of the bones shifting out of place the touch still is nice and he likes it. He moans quietly, trying to show that he likes the feeling. “Well, alright. You deserve it. I’ll wake you up later.”

And with those words in mind Robbie feels himself drifting, thoughts of the new and smaller flesh from earlier today as well as the other events flooding his mind.

He’ll sort through all of his thoughts later.

When he reopens his eyes the room has dulled reds and he can tell that it’s dark even though he can’t actually see. He pushes up from the bed and begins to panic a little when he doesn’t find Marvin anywhere in the room. He turns himself and quickly gets out of the bed, limping a little because one of his feet doesn’t want to cooperate with him.

“Mmmmaaarrriiinnnn??” He called out as he normally does. He’s in an unfamiliar place and doesn’t remember coming here and he doesn’t know where Marvin, the only guiding light in this confusing world, is at. These thoughts send him into even more of a panic and he can think of nothing else aside from finding Marvin. “Mmmmaaarrrriiinnnn!!”

He runs into a solid object and clenched his fists, lifting them over his head before smashing them down on the surface. There’s a crunching noise and when it doesn’t give he continues this process, slamming his hands down on the surface until it finally breaks and he steps through many pieces of sharp things. He doesn’t even notice when one particularly large piece stabs through his thin and worn shoe and jams itself into the bottom of his foot.

“Robbie!” Said a familiar voice but it isn’t Marvin’s and he growls loudly at the blob now standing in his way. He doesn’t know where he’s going- he just is. He’s hoping he’ll somehow bump into wherever his human went to. “It’s me, Chase, Marvin will be right back okay-”

But Robbie doesn’t care what this “Chase” has to say, even if he does tug at his memories. Marvin is the only thing he cares for right now and he won’t let anything distract him from finding him. He knocks the blob aside and to the floor, snarling at it before continuing on, missing a step and falling forward when the ground suddenly drops off. He goes tumbling down edged ground for a few moments before finally coming to a solid ground and he spits up that warm liquid called blood that had been gathering in his mouth. One of his shoulders feels out of place but again he doesn’t care he only wants to find Marvin.

There’s a scream and the scent of another blob hits his nose. But upon finding it to not be Marvin he pushes thoughts of it aside for now, pushing back up from the ground with some difficulty when his shoulder pops further out of place. He’ll worry about that later.

His head angles upwards when he hears hurried footsteps behind him and can see that the Chase blob is running at him. He snarls loudly at it, baring his teeth and when it gets too close he simply knocks it aside, not caring to deal with it right now.

“Mmmmaaaarrrriiinnn?!” He calls again, losing past the quaking and smaller blob. His foot still drags and his shoulder is hanging down low but he doesn’t care. He needs to find Marvin.

“Kids, go back upstairs,” he heard someone order and then there was the sound of more footsteps but he continues limping forward, beginning to smash a surface that gets in his way. He roars at it and drags his hands down it, saliva flying from between his teeth. “Robbie, please calm down, Marvin is-”

“Maaarrrriiiiinnnn!” He screams now and his voice is so low and scratchy that it is not very loud. It doesn’t travel too far. When he finds the surface in his way to not be breaking, he grunts in frustration and turns from it, stumbling away. His shoulder hits a nearby wall and he nearly loses his footing. The blob once more tries to block him. He bares his teeth and leaps at it, grabbing it and throwing it aside once more. It lets out a noise of surprise as t flies through the air. “Mariiinn!!”

“Robbie!” The blob tries again but he’s still not going to listen to it. He finds a cooler and smoother surface in his way and he can see the bright and dark reds beyond- outside of this place he’s in. Maybe Marvin is somewhere out there. He lifts his hands and smashes them down with all the force he can muster and hears a satisfying smash. The surface crumbled beneath his hands and he staggers out of the now opened area, sharp edges stabbing into his skin and flesh but he doesn’t care. He lands face first on hard and warm ground before pushing up‍ and smelling at the air. “Come back!”

He continues forward, smelling around to try his best to find Marvin. He knocks anything that gets in his way aside, lips drawn back as he snarls continuously. If someone has hurt Marvin-

“Robbie!” It’s a familiar and comforting voice that sounds loud and shocked and he stops in his tracks, turning his body towards the source. The smell of Marvin reaches him and Robbie can feel his lips turning upwards from happiness strangely enough. But the emotions coming from Marvin aren’t shared- he seems shocked and upset with him. Like he almost always is now. He never can seem to do anything right. He had just been looking for him, worried he was in trouble. “What the hell are you doing?!”

“Iiiii…” Robbie groaned and his tongue is having difficulty with the words because they’re not just “Marvin” in a continuous loop. “‘Oooookkkkk…. fffooo’…. ‘ou! Wasssss… worreedddd!” He thinks he got his feelings out in words and now he’s staggering towards the magician because he had missed being near to him. He only feels comfortable when standing near him, of course.

“So you tear apart Chase’s house to look for me?!” Marvin demanded and Robbie finds that to have a simple answer:

“Yyyyeeeessssss…”

“No!” Marvin shouts and Robbie flinches at the volume and tone. He stops in his walking and his shoulders hunch further upwards. Marvin is angry with him again. He messed up again. Just like always. “I was out getting you food,” at the mention of food his mouth is salivating and his head has angled upwards once more, “but I don’t know if I should give it to you, yet. You could have really hurt Chase or his kids, Rob.”

Robbie is silent for a moment, trying to think of words that could describe what his problem had been. But, he can’t think of any that would at all. The only words would be short and not very descriptive but he can’t remember any of the others. But, maybe this would would fit?

“Waassssss…. sssssscaarrrrredd…” he muttered out and he believes he knows what that word means but he isn’t sure. Judging by the waves of guilt now coming from Marvin he’s pretty sure it was correct?

“I’m sorry, Robbie,” Marvin said and slowly walks to him, laying a hand on his shoulder. He can smell the scent of unknown people on his hand. “I should have told you where I was going.”

“Is he calm?” He hears the one called Chase ask behind him and sees Marvin nod. “Okay good. He had us flipping out, man. Kids, you guys can come out now!”

“Sss-…. ssssorrrryyyy,” Robbie ground out because he is now that he’s calmed down and remembered that Chase is a friend.

There’s a moment of silence. “Ah, come on dude, it’s fine,” Chase finally said. “I’ll just need to fix the things you destroyed, but it’s fine, really.”

Robbie grunts and then Marvin is leading him somewhere. “Come on, you need to eat,” he said and as soon as he’s finished speaking Robbie grows excited for a meal.

He’ll try harder to not displease Marvin. He’ll try harder to be a… human again. He thinks he can do it… but does Marvin believe that?
