The Final Chapter

wkm-theories:

ironwoman359:

Woah…okay….whew. Trying to collect my thoughts after watching that is…well it isn’t easy. First off, MAJOR PROPS TO TEAMIPLIER. This story has had so much heart and soul put into it, and there’s been an incredible dedication to quality and detail. Bravo, Mark and Co., bravo.

So wtf just happened? After reading some theories by my friends at @wkm-theories and considering it, I’m gonna take a stab at unravelling this tangled web.

So, #Markiplier lives. Does he? It’s gone far beyond that now. Maybe in the beginning it was that simple, but it isn’t anymore. There are parts I got right, and parts I didn’t. There are parts the community got right, and parts we didn’t, so let’s go through this piece by piece.

First off, obviously at this point, this is indeed the origin story of Darkiplier, and of Warfstache too. But it’s a much sadder origin story than I think anyone was expecting. We know from the Colonel (whose first name I think must be Wilford) and Detective’s argument that Celine was in fact Mark’s wife, and that Colonel Wilford had an affair with her. While the Detective calls it “stealing” and “sick sexual exploits,” I think it is clear that he loves her very much. In the spirit world/afterlife/whatever place at the end, Celine says “I never thought he’d fall this far,” and that Mark took everything from them “from his twisted quest of vengeance.” With that in mind, this is my theory on the backstory:

  • As I said in my last theory, Mark, Damien, and Wilford grew up as childhood friends together. Mark went into the entertainment business, Wilford into the army, and Damien into politics. I also am now convinced that Markiplier Manor definitely used to belong to Wilford. Not just by his familiarity with the house, but by his conversation with the Chef just before Celine comes in in chapter two. As we know, the Chef calls him Private, and says “I don’t work for you anymore!” He then says in today’s episode that he’s been cooking for the people in the manor for 25 years, but he yells to Wilford that he quits. Why would he tell Wilford, wouldn’t it make more sense to tell the Butler at this point? But no, in some ways he still sees Wilford as his old boss…the old keeper of the manor.
  • So anyway, the manor used to be Wilford’s home. And when he was a private in the army, Damien was at University (where you meet him) and Mark was trying to get his acting career started. Yes, in this universe, Mark is not just a YouTuber, but a flim/TV actor. This is evidenced by these photos from the Detective’s evidence room shown on @whokilledmarkiplier:
  • It is also worth mentioning that in the Meta Ending of A Date with Markiplier, Mark is an actor who is out on parole, working on a crummy side project. I think that these universes are connected, but more on that later.
  • It isn’t easy to start an acting career, and you usually don’t make a lot of money in the process, so I think Wilford took Mark in and supported him while he was getting on his feet As he imitates Mark, he says “Forget all my FRIENDS or people who helped me along the way!” Wilford was one of those people.
  • I also think that while Celine was friends with all of them, it was Wilford who loved her the most. While Mark in real life is a great guy, Mark in this story is kind of an asshole. Maybe Will and Celine once were dating, maybe Will never got up the courage to ask her. But Mark’s career took off and he married her himself before Wilford could. This obviously infuriated Wilford, and Mark grew distant. Then, to add insult to injury, Mark took the manor for himself, and even named it after his new stage name: Markiplier. This was the last straw for Wilford, and he secretly confessed his feelings to Celine, which she seemed quite happy to reciprocate and they had an affair. Maybe this version of Mark was once like the one in our world, but Fame and Money went to his head “Just look at my MONEY!” The Detective says that Wilford was also “squeezing him for cash” to fund dates with Celine. Will probably feels like Mark stole everything from him, so he doesn’t mind stealing back.
  • Damien, of course, being the politician and genuinely caring about all three of his friends, makes an effort to be on good terms with all of them. It is also likely that he is the one who introduced you to Mark. The two of you meet in college (You’re a DA, so you would have run in the same social circles), and when Damien and you both got jobs in the same city (LA, I assume) where Mark lived, the three of you formed your own friendship.
  • Back to the affair: Mark obviously found out about it. Like Damien says at the end, he had been planning this for years. It’s even possible that Celine divorced Mark after he and Wilford had an altercation over her, and that it is after this divorce, which left her confused and hurt, that she sought solace in the arcane arts. Now, in this next matter, I was fairly close to the truth. Mark wanted to get back at Wilford, so he cam up with a revenge plan, and he hired the Detective to make sure that everything went down smoothly. However, the plan was not to discover who wanted Mark dead, but to frame the Colonel. And he used the Chef, Butler and Detective to help achieve that goal.
  • There are multiple times they try to clue you into their plan, but they obviously don’t want Damien or Wilford to know about it, which is why they must be so covert.
  • Mark’s plan was simple, but effective. Invite all of his closest friends to a poker night, fake his own death, and pin it on the Colonel. But what he didn’t count on was the supernatural getting in his way.

There is some kind of force in that house. I’m going to call it Dark, but understand I don’t mean the persona of Darkiplier when I say that from here on out, I mean the entity that causes Darkiplier. Anyway, there’s no way of telling exactly how long Dark has been lurking on the manor, but it’s for at least 15 years based on George’s refusal to enter the house for that long. We also don’t know exactly how old our characters are. Suffice it to say though, Dark has been there for a long time. Again, this exposure to an extremely powerful evil entity could have contributed to Mark’s assholery, but we have no way of knowing for sure.

  • From what I can gather, this is a force that feeds off of conflict. So when Mark and his friends began fighting, it grew stronger. When Mark began to plan his revenge, it grew stronger still. And finally, it grew strong enough to strike.
  • “He trapped us in here with this broken shell and now there’s no way out” is what Damien says to you at the end. I think that Mark’s body is in fact dead, and Mark has made a deal with Dark. There are two possibilities here: The first is that Mark planned it that way from the beginning, to kill his body, blame the Colonel, and take Damien’s body for his own. The second (and I think more likely) is that Mark didn’t want to drag Damien and Celine into it, and that he didn’t even know about Dark’s force. In this scenario, Dark killed Mark and trapped him in the void where we see Celine and Damien at the end. Then, Dark gave him a choice (Dark loves choices): stay trapped in the void forever, or have Damien killed and take his body. Mark is already hurt and angry, and the Darkness has been feeding those emotions. When faced with that choice, he chooses to betray his friends to save himself. This is when the rest of the events unfold in the manor.
  • I think that when the Butler says “the body is cold” to the Detective, he meant it. Mark’s body was dead at that point. But the Detective doesn’t realize just yet that Mark is really dead, he just thinks it’s part of the ruse. The Butler also suggests calling the police. He’s really concerned now, and while it was in their original plan to tell you about the plot, they’re unsure now of whether or not to tell you outright, so they resort to cryptic hints and clues. For all they know, you’re the one who really killed him, which is why the Detective acts like he trusts you but at times expresses doubts. As the tensions in the manor grow, Dark becomes more and more powerful, especially since he has Mark in his possession. He can manifest lightning when prompted, and he is able to steal Mark’s body and bring it to the void. Yes, I think that the Detective really was surprised when Mark’s body was gone. That wasn’t part of the plan. That was all Dark’s doing. With Mark’s mind AND body now in it’s possession, he is more powerful than ever.
  • Then, Celine arrives at the manor. Maybe she sensed something was wrong, maybe Dark lured her there, whatever. She arrives and her occult knowledge immediately tells her something is wrong. She then does exactly what Dark wants her to do and opens a conduit to his realm. Through this conduit, he possess her, and tries to possess you but you stop him, pulling out of the seance early. I think that it is your body that he had decided on, which is why “Celine” was so mad that you wouldn’t let her finish.
  • While you’re outside with George, Dark uses Celine to take Damien’s consciousness into the void, and spits Mark back out into Damien’s body. Dark then takes control of Celine’s body but he is thwarted by George before he can accomplish whatever it is he needed a body for. Now with Celine’s body useless to him, Mark in control of Damien’s body and Celine and Damien’s minds in the void with him, Dark is in a bit of a pickle. Whatever he has, it isn’t enough, and he can’t just take it by force. He needs to be let in to fully take control (Celine let him in on accident in her seance, and then Dark manipulated Damien’s trust in her to trick him into letting him in as well). So he does what he does best: manipulation.
  • When everything goes wibbly wobbly and you walk around the house hearing voices, that’s Dark’s influence over you. He doesn’t have total control because you haven’t given it to him, but he can lead you in the right direction. As you end up seeing the Detective’s frame job for the Colonel and then their confrontation, things get out of hand. Poor Wilford is slowly going mad at the possible loss of his friends, and he kills the Detective in a fit of rage. When you try to calm him down and take the gun, he accidentally kills you too. This is exactly what Dark needed to happen, another person to die. I think that Dark is a being that exists entirely by thought; he has some sway over the physical world but not enough to do anything major. But if a body is dead and the mind is all that remains, he can easily pull that mind into his domain, where it’s pretty hard to say no.
  • So you die, and Dark takes your mind and traps it, in the same place he has Celine, Damien’s mind and Mark’s body trapped. And it is in this scene that we see the master manipulator that Dark is. I believe that while Celine and Damien’s consciousness are present in the void before you get here, Dark convinces them that this was all Mark’s doing. He insists that their only chance is to use you, that the three of you can fix it. Of course, he says all of this to fool them. They blame everything on Mark, and tell you so plainly. Dark wants you to share their thoughts so that you’ll agree to his plan.
  • Your body is out there, broken, but still present. Celine says that she can send you back, and implies that this is only possible if you let Damien in so that together, you can stay alive. But that’s a flat out lie, it’s Dark that is really sending you out, not her. Your body is not ideal to him, but it’s all he has left now. The Chef, Butler, and Groundskeeper have left, Wilford is going insane, and the Detective doesn’t trust Damien OR Celine enough to listen to them. But you do. (That’s why Damien’s character is so appealing to us, it’s why they designed him to make us want to trust him. If we trust him, and he trusts Celine, then we’ll do what Celine says.) All Dark wants is our body, and the only way for him to get it is if we let him in. When Damien says “let me in”, the screen glitches for a moment. Up until then, it was Celine and Damien talking, but in that moment it was Dark. Reaching out to you. Beckoning you to just. let. him. in.
  • Celine then says that this is a choice. This is also Dark speaking through her. Dark is obsessed with choice, but not just any choice. He uses the illusion of choice to get what he wants. When he made Mark choose between living in Damien’s body or being trapped in the void forever, there was really no outcome that would work in Mark’s favor. And either way, Dark could have used it somehow. In ADWM, he gives the illusion of offering more choices than Mark ever did, but only one choice will continue the story. And according to Mark in his livestream, originally the links at the end of that video were supposed to all go to the same place. He doesn’t offer choices, not really. He manipulates you into thinking you’re choosing what you want, when really it’s he who’s getting what he wants.
  • And it works. You let him in, he sends you back, and you get to see the shattered remains of Wilford’s sanity crumble completely. Then, Dark reaches for Damien’s cane, and looks in the mirror. He has a body now, but it’s broken. A reanimated corpse (a zombie, get it? It was more than a joke!) that he doesn’t even have enough power to control on his own. He is forced to keep Damien (and possibly Celine) captive in his mind to maintain enough power to keep the body running. But he doesn’t need you anymore, he got all he wanted from you. He traps you in the mirror, and leaves you there, because that’s what social manipulators do: they get what they want out of you and then abandon you. Dark’s mannerisms when in this body are so similar to Damien’s because pieces of Damien’s personality poke through the facade.

But in the end…

The Detective wasn’t wrong, it was more complicated than “It was Colonel Warfstache in the library with the candlestick.” Markiplier either killed himself or was killed by Dark, but his mind lives on in Damien’s body. Wilford, devastated at the loss of his friends and the blood on his own hands spirals into madness, The Staff leave the house, The Detective is dead, and you…

Your body is dead, possessed by a bitter spirit who didn’t get everything he wanted. So he goes after who started this whole mess in the first place…Markiplier. He follows Mark, fueled partly by Celine and Damien’s newfound hatred of him, fueled partly by his own desires as a parasite to keep feeding and growing, and pesters him to give him back Damien’s body. But Mark has learned his lesson and won’t let him in again. So Dark, now using the name “Darkiplier” turns to the next best thing…his fans.

*Applauds*

Wow @markiplier, you really outdid yourself this time! Thank you for this great experience, it was truly a pleasure to witness.

Thank you everyone for reading not just this theory, but my other theories, as well as those on @wkm-theories that I helped compile. Thank you also to @valleyofrogues for creating wkm-theories and inviting me to help admin it, it’s been a blast! And don’t think we’re stopping today, we’re going to keep responding to your questions, compiling your theories, and share our thoughts with you throughout October. Something tells me this story isn’t over yet…

Sorry, this ended up being longer than I meant it to be. But I couldn’t cram all of that info into a short post. I’ll be making a follow up directly through this blog that cover some loose ends and minor details, so stay tuned!

Don’t think about what all happened after the video ended, though…

Don’t think about how the Colonel is just wandering around, still calling out the names of his beloved friends, hoping and believing that this whole thing had been a joke, that they are just off hiding somewhere, waiting to surprise him and he doesn’t know what to do because all he can do is search for them.

Don’t think about how Dark is seething with anger, betrayal, hatred and is craving vengeance. Don’t think about how he listens to the Colonel fruitlessly calling out for his loved ones with a sad heart as he tries to figure out his new body, his new way of life, tries to figure out his powers and how to control himself. How to contain his split personalities. And maybe, just maybe, he ends up helping the Colonel because he just can’t leave him behind.

@i-am-a-fan @cheers-love-tracer-is-bae

..I think about how they were friends

I Think about how easily one fell like the other

How the were very different only to suffer a similar fate

How childhood friends became grownup enemies

Time changes people

And I don’t like thinking about that..

WKM – What happened?

piligy:

I’m going to cover all of this mess in this post. It’s just what I think could be the truly amazing story behind this amazing video series.

There are LOTS of questions in my own head and I’m gonna try answering (hopefully) most of them! Here we go!

WHO KILLED HIM NOW?

The biggest question raised is, obviously, who killed Markiplier? From what we could gather throughout the series, demons are likely to exist in this scenario.

image

Even the newspaper gives a hint that the mayor might have been a “demon in disguise”. So there are spiritual, supernatural things happening here. I, for one, can not answer the biggest question out of all, how he died and who he was killed by. I can only make one assumption; here’s my theory.

We know that Mark’s body went missing at some point. Where exactly is never shown or hinted at, but I have a likely theory that Mark himself was the one to hide his own body in form of his spirit. Or just, behind all that was happening in general. However, what we do know is that Mark, I quote (Damien): “(He) trapped us here in this broken shell and we had no way out.”

It seems established that, during the time we were outside to talk to the gardener, Damien and Celine tried to reach out to Mark(’s ghost), hence she wanted to “talk to the dead”. During that time, Mark took the chance to inhabit Damien’s body and trap him inside his own, dead shell that could not be used anymore. Whilst doing so he either accidentally killed Celine by possessing her first, her not being able to hold the soul inside her body, OR Celine did not die and let Damien inside her body to save him from being thrown into the corpse, which would explain why she was red and blue in the end sequence of Chapter 3. She also appears to be having two pairs of eyes above her head at one point. Possibly a hint that she’s two in one at that point?

image
image

Either way, we know that Damien represents BLUE and Celine represents RED thanks to the ending of Chapter 4:

image

Which is why it could very well be that She kept Damien’s soul inside her body for a short while to save his life. And of course Damien was PISSED after that, betrayed by whom he cared for, who he fought Will for and whom he thought was a good, a childhood friend he could trust. That’s for the angry step towards us, the angry stare. He looks at us, knowingly. He chooses his victim that very moment.

We are told to run. The door closes and Celine does not come out. Her shell possibly broke and both souls were set free without a shell, or she kept it up and waited for the right moment to talk to us.

The right moment being the time Will shot us.

And here is the thing; We did NOT die. If you listen closely, you can hear a faint heartbeat in the background during this very scene. They both tell you to believe them, tell you stories to make you feel sorry for them. Which, of course, you do. Damien seems pissed and loses his temper once more, like he did with the Colonel before, and shouts angrily that Mark walks around in his body. Which is why I think that part is true. He couldn’t take his anger in. He can’t, he has a low temper, that’s just it.

But Celine reminds him that he “can’t do this right now”. Reminds us to believe them. What you’re told is that Mark trapped both of them inside his old, dead body and that they brought you there so you have a chance to survive. Damien tells you that you can’t survive on your own and Celine says she can bring you back the same way she brought you there. But what Damien says afterwards is the most important clue.

He says: “But you can’t survive on your own. You’re .. dead, after all. (…) I know this all sounds crazy. Honestly, I don’t know what the fuck is going on. But I know that I trust Celine. And if you trust us … let me in. We can fix this.”

Gathered: Damien lies to you after all this time of actually being genuine. He was betrayed by Mark, knows that you trust him, wants revenge and is angry. He lures you into a false sense of security, tells you you can fix this together. He makes you feel like a friend by telling you that he feels the same way about all of this. And then, he mentions that oh so beloved trust of his. That one thing he completely lost thanks to Mark.

Also important to note; It is ONLY DAMIEN that inhabits your body after all of this. Why is that?
Celine states that she can send “you” back, not “us”. She says “you” have a choice. And Damien ends his sentence with “let me in.” Not let us in.

You trust Damien and he tells you that it will work, he promises.

And it does work! You wake up in your own body, get up, meet the Colonel who is completely out of it by now.

image

He does not recognize us as a “Dark” or “Damien” because we don’t look like Damien yet and Dark doesn’t exist yet either. Damien, at this point, is inside our body and trying to take over.

We listen to what Will says and see him, in desperation and utter confusion, try to find his dear friends he lost.

Once he’s away, only THEN do we walk over to the mirror. And here is where it gets interesting.

We take Damien’s cane: Take a look at the hands.

image

A thin, female and young looking hand (possibly Amy wee i love her), but then something happens.

image

The hand changes, transforms into a different one. Into a hand similar to Damien’s. Because Damien is inhabiting your body by himself. Celine is likely still in Mark’s body or, as I mentioned earlier, never died to begin with. It’s Damien who was so fed up, he had to use you to get what he wants. And he gets it alright:

image

A body. A shell to use as a puppet. He transformed your body into a copy of his own. Mark likely still uses actual Damien’s body, but Damien had to make you look like him to finish this with you.

Then this happens.

image

And sad music plays in the background all throughout this scene and it broke my heart – but why did it break my heart? Because that right there is a representation of broken trust, my friends. Damien threw us out of the body he stole from us and trapped us either behind our screens or in that mirror (hence the weird noise light inside the crack). He used us. He manipulated us. We were his first victim.

image

And he feels bad about it at first. Note how Dark’s look changes after he throws us out? Because now we can see what he truly is; a broken man. He had so much trust in Mark, in us. He was a genuine, good and kind hearted man. He neglected his other friends for Mark only to then find himself betrayed by Mark or whatever he had unleashed that day. He is troubled, his emotions are a whirlwind and all the while he has to keep his anger inside. After all, Damien has a short and low temper. Guilty about what happened, he looks up at you.

image

Reminds himself that he has a goal now; take revenge. Looks at you now with almost disgust to make you feel even worse. This is a reflection of his own emotions that very moment. We are supposed to feel exactly what Damien felt. Betrayal, fear, loneliness. An end. The mirror itself is a genius metaphor for this.

image
image

He then leaves us. Clearly guided by rage and hatred and you can FEEL that, I get goosebumps just thinking about this. (@markiplier frickin amazing acting, dude!) Anyway, here he makes up his mind to take back control over what is rightfully his. Mark; his own body.

We are then left in darkness, questioning and clueless, sad and quite literally broken.

image

Dark’s origin, ladies and gentlemen.

(just my take on this. It’s probably, like, super wrong lmao also sorry for the long post ilyall)

So the colonel is wilfred? I was thinking it was but i wasn’t too sure. The only thing i know is that when he was in denial that people were dead and thought it was a prank i wanted to cry and then curl up in a ball for a few centuries. He just seemed kinda lost and hoping it was a dream..But sadly he wont wake up from it because he is living a never ending nightmare…

angstyglitterbongos:

chase-brody-protection-squad:

Yeah, us being back was the last push…
After that he became Wilford.
And that’s why Dark calls him Will, his real name is William.
That’s why Dark says “Did you miss me? I missed you… very much. I’ve been waiting a long time to see you again…” and so on. We were pushed out of our own body, Damien changing it into a copy of his own, and left behind. And that’s why we were also familiar to Mark the first time we did ADWM. He doesn’t remember us, but we do. – Mod Lily

Also don’t forget he said “he promised he’d let me out” and that chef guy was back. And what if when dark was “on a date” with us it was MARK! He had finally gotten out and then said “did you miss me? because i missed you very much” and this was a way of getting back at him. i mean that was the first time we’d be “going on a date” or meeting dark and so why would he miss us? i don’t think he was speaking to us. don’t forget that the hand ended up changing from female to male. what i’m thinking is that it was dark being forced into hiding then mark and now dark is on the loose and it changed from one body to the next and he no longer needed to pretend. dark is on a revenge binge. We should keep our eyes pealed.

Also i think maybe in a date with markiplier that we were never with mark but we were with Damien who eventually turned into dark. that’d be fucked up…

We Hunt The Hunter Part 1

wo-the-wolf:

Hello everyone! Welcome to another one of the stories, bringing back some characters, Sasha and Breka. This story was inspiried by user @quiksilvear and their requested prompt of human persistence hunting. Without further ado, lets continue!
—————————————————————————————–

The crew laid sprawled out around the ship that had landed in the middle of no where. The amphibious crew took stock of the situation, some handling the injured and the shell-shocked. However among them stood one who was bandaging her gut from a bad gash. Standing by her side was the terrifying Vin’lek known as Breka, and Sasha patted her head before looking back. The crew were soldiers, but they weren’t equipped nor prepared to survive this kind of emergency landing. “Well A’rav,” Sasha said before whistling to get his attention. Her  bionic limbs had been restored to a much greater condition, and she smiled as she caught the attention of her friend Captain A’rav. “Looks like most of our supplies got torched. How soon can we expect rescue?”

Her companion looked down at a dead crew member, covered his face and sighed, “This planet is on the fringes of our patrol route. It may be a few days before we can build a beacon from scrap. After that it could be as long as a week before anyone finds us.”

“A week?!” Another crew member shouted before holding her broken arm and gasping in pain. The crew began to look around with worry.

“We have enough supplies for maybe three rotations! We won’t have enough to wait that long even if we ration it heavily!” Another crew member shouted.

A’rav looked at Sasha and sighed, “They’re right,” he muttered. A’rav stood up, swallowing a lump in his throat and raising his hands, “Men and Women of the S.S. Grep’klek please, I know the situation is grim, but we’ll find a solution in order to keep everyone fed and-”

“We don’t have enough food! How are we going to keep people from starving?!” Another crew member shouted.

A’rav swallowed again. The books demanded Officers be kept alive and given necessary supplies, though how that would work with such a green crew was not a good thought to say the least. “We … We will,” he swallowed.

A’rav felt a hand lay on his shoulder and looked to see Sasha with some kind of black straw like substance hanging from her lips. “Are you crazy?!” A crew member in white robes stammered and burst forward from the crowd. “I said not to touch those weeds! They are doused with toxins!”

“Toxic to y’all, Huuga’s don’t like this stuff but humans drink it quite often. It’s a pretty good pick me up,” she chewed a bit and patted Breka’s head. The beast seemed to grin, causing more than a few of the crew to back up in fear. “Caffeine is a good thing for us. Besides, we’re gonna do some good old fashioned hunt’en to survive this here mess.” Sasha stepped in front of A’rav. “So, who here among y’all know how to hunt? Not with your plasma blasters you’ll just melt the meat, but anyone here fire a bow?” She looked around. No hands, in fact some confused faces made her feel a bit more uneasy. “Right … Spears?” She questioned. “Anyone?” No response. “A’rav … I … I’m starting to think I know why pirates are such a problem in your area.”

“My men can fight, Sasha,” A’rav shook his head.

“Oh I’ve seen that, but I don’t think they can survive.” Sasha sighed. “Now ain’t this gonna be a pain.”

“Well excuse us for not being versed in primitive weapons of human design!” An injured crew member growled.

“They’re in the manual for basic survival of all species within the Coalition, and you know why?” She turned to him with the same tired look as usual, chewing on the plant a bit more. “Because we humans are good at a lot of things. But the one thing we’re good at, is killing things bigger and scarier than us.” She grabbed a nearby stick and then reached into her boot. “Come on now,” she tugged and pulled out a large knife. “There ya are,” she smiled.

“What are you doing?” Some of the crew had begun to gather as one of the injured from earlier inquired.

Sasha sat down on the ground and began to carve, “Well I’m making a spear. We’re gonna be stuck here a bit and ain’t got much food. Now off in the woods there’s something made of meat if those growls and howls mean anything,” she spit out the weed and plucked another one from near her, chewing on it again. “So I’m gonna go hunting.”

“Those howls come from a Tan-nanga!” One of the more veteran looking crew members growled. “No one can match their ferocity, not even your Vin’lek pet!”

Breka growled, causing the man to take a near unseen step back. Sasha smiled, “Sounds like fun. A good ol’ rustle an tustle. What’s your name Mister?” Sasha looked up as she picked up some metal debris, and started showing it into the wooden stick to make a crude spear.

“Malo, Malo Wendga,” The Veteran proclaimed proudly. “I have killed many enemies for the defense of my people. I have studied the beasts around our star system. These are some of the most dangerous I speak of!” he growled, “You have no knowledge of what you face, you are a blind fool if you think to fight one!”

“That’s true,” Sasha nodded as she listened intently. “I would be one hell of a fool to fight one. But that’s because I’m not going to fight one.” She stood up and tapped her home made spear on the ground, twirling it a bit and then thrusting forward, causing some of the crowd to recoil. “I’m going to hunt it.” She stood up straight and twirled the spear a little more. “My ancestors, back before we had even discovered how to speak properly, hunted together with animals native to our home. These animals, the dog, were once creatures called wolves. They were our mortal enemy, but through sheer determination we domesticated them, because they’re the only animal that could keep up with our hunting.”

“What? What nonsense is this?” The Veteran Malo folded his arms.

“Many historical texts define hunting as overpowering your opponent, most ancestors of the galaxies species were prey, or predators that hunted in quick bursts, or like your kind remained still. For us, we outsmarted our prey.” She saw the crowd beginning to gather once again. She had them, and would now give them the moral they needed. “Traps, tracking, and not running but walking towards our prey got them. The prey would run, and we would merely follow. When they attack we lead them a place we can win, using our companions,” she pet Breka’s head lovingly, “And working together to bring them down.”

“That is pure fantasy, I have never heard of any of that!” Malo scoffed.

“Didn’t know you were a human expert?” Sasha laughed softly as Malo remained quite, clearly corned on that account. “At any rate, Breka and I will be back in roughly two days. Mostly to track some extra resources. Prey herds, water, any fruits and what not. I’ll be borrowing one of your scanners,” she began walking as she talked, and upon mentioning the scanner she plucked it out of the hands of one of the crew. “Thank you,” she clasped his shoulder for a moment and continued, “Be back soon A’rav, try not to starve while I’m gone,” she waved and then continued on towards the dense glowing woods that surrounded the ship.

“She’s going to die,” Malo snorted.

The rest of the crew were losing hope after she left, realizing that Malo may be right. “No,” A’rav smiled, “I know Sasha. She’s my friend, and she’s not going to die till she gets her hand on her main prey.”

HEY YOU! How’s it going? It was a pleasure to work on this arch of the short stories I’m doing to pass time during my last year of university. Once again don’t forget, if you have any prompts you want me to work on just send me them, tag me in them, anything at all! I will put them in the que if I like em! All my stories are connected so never fear, old characters will always come back! Until next time, Fly safe fellow Explorer’s of the unknown.

Do y’all think that Dark can also hear the constant ringing that always follows him? Do y’all think that he’s alway having to fix or resituate his limbs and neck because he’s in a still broken body? Do y’all think that he’s constantly in pain because of his split personalities, because he’s still broken inside and outside? Do y’all think that he always tries to ignore thoughts of what happened but when he remembers he becomes so emotional? Do y’all think he still has nightmares about what happened? Do y’all think he has phantom pains in the place the Colonel shot us? Do y’all think he thinks of nothing except for vengeance, of getting back at Mark? Do y’all think he ever misses how the days were before, wants to return to how he was before? Do y’all think he manipulates because he has to by hates himself for doing it? Do y’all think he ever glances into a mirror and is just so disgusted by what he’s become? Do y’all think that every time he looks at Wilford he’s just reminded of how badly he’d failed a friend?

Because I do
