In response to @radioactivepeasant‘s post on how humans are the fair folk of the universe…
Never let yourself be lured into one of their “nightclubs.” A place where delight turns to mania, they say that humans spend eternity dancing beneath blinding lights in a constant state of frenzy. Once you have entered, they will not allow you to leave.
Be warned. Time moves strangely when in the Human world. Keep an eye on the hours, else you’ll find you’ve gone through an entire day in a handful of minutes. As the chilling Human saying goes; Time Flies when you’re Having Fun
Do not play their games. Humans are known tricksters and their “games,” while first appearing innocent, can quickly become deadly.
Be wary when seeking help from a human. While it is true that many are benign and will not accept payment for their aid, most will require equal recompense for their time.
on that note, Humans do not enjoy being in debt to another. Not accepting payment for services rendered will insult and anger them.
If you are in the company of humans, be cautious when leaving. They will try and persuade you to stay. Be wary of the phrase “just one more…” You will not be seen again.
Tread with caution when interacting with humans. They are fickle and vain creatures. Be wary when seeking their favour, for it is for their own enjoyment that they indulge you.
What’s worse is that Wilford and Dark and Bim are all reality warpers who can change the shape of the building as they please, so imagine the Host just taking a tumble down a flight of stairs that literally didn’t exist yesterday and just laying there at the bottom and not moving. He just gives up on life. No more. Thank you. He’s done.
URGENT: If you are in Austin, DO NOT TOUCH any packages left on your doorstep.
Don’t open them or touch them. Period. This is a red alert if you are Black and live in Southeast Austin.
I’ve literally heard NOTHING about this. SIGNAL BOOST THE FUCK OUT OF THIS.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL, EVERYBODY. IF YOU RECEIVE ANYTHING YOU WEREN’T EXPECTING, GO BACK INSIDE AND CALL THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY. I don’t care if it’s an Amazon box with a note on it from your grandma. If you didn’t order something, don’t fucking touch it. Call the police first. It’s better to have a false alarm than do nothing.
Why? This is fucked up! I have not even heard about it on the news!
I may live in Ireland but. Fucking signal booster this!!!!!
Cause I have family and super close friends who live in Austin.
Do yall also have these mutuals that you just??? Grew really fond of?? Like, you never properly talk to them and all you do is like each other’s posts but whenever you see them on your dash you’re like “hello sunshine, I hope you’re drinking lots of water and being happy your health and wellbeing is so important to me” and I hope that’s not weird because honestly that’s me all the time
I’ve seen this video a couple of times in my recommended on YouTube or just my tumblr feed. While the video seems kinda simple let me just tell you oh no all the work into this was not. First off the clip finding for this long of an amv must have taken ages. Second off all the masking done is this is perfection and would have taken ages. This is a wonderful edit and I love it to bits.
My mother also talked about periods to my brothers.
When I first got mine I had terrible cramps. Crippling cramps. I once was camping with my family and a few of my big brother’s friends when my period came. My cramps were so bad that my mom gave me a full pain killer ( I was 13 and before that she only gave me pills cut in half).
I literally laid down on my parents’ air mattress and cried in pain for an hour before the pill kicked in.
My brothers friend came in to the big tent and I was just curled up and sobbing. Now, I was quite the tomboy and was known to rough house with my brothers and their friends and made sure I wasnt seen as just “a little girl.” So my brother’s friend was confused to see me openly weeping in the fetal position (seriously, these were the worst cramps I have had in my life. My vision went white). He asked what was wrong with me.
My big brother stood up immediately and suggested a nice long hike. During this hike I am sure he had a pretty awkward conversation with his friend explaining menstrual cramps, because when they got back the pain pill had (mostly) kicked in and I was sitting up at a table when my brother’s friend sheepishly asked me if I was feeling better. I said I was better, and he said good.
When we made s’mores that night my brother and his friend kept me well supplied with chocolate.
Making sure sons know as much about periods and menstruation as daughters makes them better brothers, better sons better fathers, and better men. A man that understands a period will not lightly accuse a woman of “being on her period” if the woman is in an argument.
Raise better sons Teach them about normal bodily functions.
