I’ve just realised. Stan Lee will have a cameo in every single one of the MCU films from the original generation, but he wont be in any of the new gen films. Avengers 4 marks the end of the road for some of the OG Avengers, and it’s also the end of the road for Stan.
They’ve already got Captain Marvel ready to go, and they’ve finished all the filming for Avengers 4, so he’ll be in both of those movies, but then everything that comes after – Spidey Far From Home and onwards – he wont be in. All the new gen films.
What I’m saying is, whichever original Avengers we permanently lose in A4, we’re losing Stan at the same time. He’s going out at the same time as them. A4 marks the end of an era, and that’s the film that his cameos will end with. That’s….. actually kind of fitting, really. He’s going out at the end of an era.
Yknow what convinced me that Eddie is an absolute disaster
The fact that this man popped open a few beers, ripped apart and gorged himself with tater tots, devoured a half eaten, rotting chicken from the trash, proceeded to hurl his guts out from it, then s h r i e k after hearing a voice from *nowhere* and knock himself out before finally waking up back to his mess of a life and basically shrugging at the events of the night previous like it was nothing. Like Eddie my man, what the hell kind of weird shit have you done before that made you desensitized to e a t i n g g a r b a g e?? Absolute disaster that man is. 10/10 would recommend to equally disastrous symbiote
If you ever want to see the otherwise avuncular Stan Lee actually pop a vein and get angry, read some of his stories where he handles the senselessness of racism and bigotry, like the Howling Commandos story where a bigot against black people joined the commandos and had his life saved by Gabe Jones, or FF 25, the story of the Hate-Monger’s Hate Ray, where he legitimately got passionate and mad.
The first black editor at Marvel, Chris Priest, said that he got a lot of race based hazing from guys around the Marvel offices in the late 1970s. And Priest made a point of saying that Stan Lee – who at the time worked at Marvel in a ceremonial and promotional role instead of a creative, or management, or editorial one – NEVER joined in and discouraged it angrily whenever he was around.
Don’t make any excuses not to. Just go see it. Let it make a lot of money, even more than Venom is making right now. I want this movie to go into the billions or at least over 500 million, because even though it hasn’t come out yet…
It deserves a lot!
I have never been this hyped about a movie since Thor Ragnarok, and both that and Into The Spider-verse grabbed people’s attention the moment its teaser trailer came out. Even the first 35 minutes of the film has gotten critical acclaim from everybody who’s seen it, and it’s hyped up those who saw it a lot more because they want to know what happens next.
Don’t just do it for Miles. Do it for Sony. Their movies have often been regarded as sub-par or the worst to happen in animation *cough*Emoji Movie*cough* but if there’s anything they can do better with Spider-man than Disney, it’s animation. Spider-man: The New Animated Series, Spectacular Spider-man.
What has Disney done? Ultimate Spider-man and Marvel’s Spider-man 2017.
Yay.
Now, I know there are fans of these two, but admit it. They do not hold a candle to Spectacular Spider-man.
When are you ever gonna be able to get a Spider-man movie about Miles Morales? And a standalone one, nonetheless?
Hell, when’s the last time Kingpin was ever a Spider-man villain in a movie? I know he’s regarded a Daredevil villain, but he started out as a Spider-man villain. In fact, he hasn’t been a Spider-man villain in a cartoon since 2003′s New Animated series! This would be his return to a Spidey cartoon in 15 years! Go celebrate that, you guys!
Let Sony make a lot of money with this movie. Let this become a franchise they can milk alongside Venom.
