I started attaching the voice in my head that tells me the things I should be doing to take of myself to Patton, and let me tell you, it is way easier to get out of bed while imagining Patton saying “That’s it Kiddo, you can do it, just put both feet on the floor. No honey, don’t lay back down, I know you want to, but it’s time to get up now!”

Disappointing myself is easy, but disappointing Patton? That somehow stings worse, I highly recommend it to any fanders out there who struggle with the self care.

I do this ALL THE TIME with different things!

If I need positive motivation or positive comfort I imagine Patton

If I need logical motivation or logical comfort I imagine Logan

If I need someone to be super uplifting like YOU ARE A MAGNIFICENT BEAST YOU GET OUT OF BED I imagine Roman

If I need someone to be like “Yeah it sucks to get out of bed but dude you smell go shower” I imagine Virgil

It’s more than just those scenarios but man, it’s so helpful for so many things.
