It’s been nearly a week since Exiles; by this time his body would have started to decompose, as seen in the glazed over eyes, as well as his nerves and muscles giving away to make him slump to a side. 
The figure (in the back in the last photo) must have found Jack, checked to see if he was dead (moving his body to slump in the opposite direction), and closed his eyes, as most people do when someone is dead. 

That would make sense. This reminds me of ddlc, when Yuri kills herself and you can see her decomposing. It’s a way to show how time is progressing (from day to night to day again) Her eyes are starting to get dull and glaze.
