Had the unbidden realization at 2am that instead of “They” pertaining to Chase’s children or Jack asking about the egos, it could easily have been Jack asking about us as fans.
We all know he cares far more about other people than he probably does about himself. The community built around his channel means a lot to him, and knowing Anti is at the helm? He must be terrified, and Anti would most certainly use that kind of ammunition.
I made myself sad now.

If Anti has put him in a coma and that means we can’t reach him, it makes sense for him to wonder where we are because he’s said so many times that he’s so grateful for us because we keep him from feeling lonely. Can you imagine what it would feel like to him if we suddenly all went silent?
… that’s something he’s afraid of.
He’s said that there’s still a part of him that’s paranoid that he’ll do something wrong that’ll cause everyone to leave him behind and forget about him. (It’s at around 22:20 in The Evolution of Jacksepticeye.) And I think I remember him saying somewhere else that to go from the number of subscribers and people he has constantly surrounding him now back down to zero would be scary for him.
So, Jack in a coma, trapped in a dark house in a nightmare of his fears, where he’s physically unable to access the community and left with his head spinning, just desperately wondering what he must’ve done wrong to make us all abandon him?
Him losing his grip on what’s real and wondering if maybe we really have?
That would be its own cruel breed of psychological hell.
…..Look at his mouth before he speaks….Maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t it…doesn’t it kind of look like he hesitated to speak? Like he was struggling to get the words out?
You factor that in with the look on his face, the whole idea of him in a coma, him referring to us, and what he says afterwards – it makes it all A LOT more painful.
