Headcanons for Patton and Darkiplier

.When the Sides first met the Egos Patton maked note of how Dark took one look at him and walked off. This really confused Patton but he focused on the other Egos.

.Patton has this calming effect on the Egos and so when he and the other Sides come to visit everyone suddenly feels much happier and safer even if they were just in a room with Dark. This has almost the opposite effect on Darkiplier, he starts to feel uneasy and angry and tries to avoid Patton at every turn.

.Patton was wandering around the Egos building when he spotted Dark walking alone in a hallway. He said Hello to him and Dark turned to him with a mixture of shock, disgust and confusion. Patton was a little hurt by this but he pushed on and tried to strike up a conversation with Dark. Dark’s expression changed to his usual glare and humored Patton by speaking to him.

.They talked for moment when Patton said that he didn’t why everyone was so scared of Dark. This made Dark pause as his shell cracked letting out an almost animal like shout. Patton didn’t cower like Dark had hoped in fact he asked if Dark was okay.

.Dark’s auras started flaring up as he tried to leave the conversation, Patton noticed this but said nothing about it choosing to just say goodbye and leave Dark alone.

.Patton said Hello everytime he saw Dark and only received a grunt in return. Dark started to question why Patton was so kind to others and to him, both Damien and Celene tried their hardest to keep calm whenever Patton was around.

.Patton reminded Celene of what Damien used to be, kind to everyone even those that didn’t deserve it which she believed applied to Dark. Damien hated Patton’ s attitude because he was he hurt by his own kindness and still after all this time misses what he used to be and Patton is a reflection of himself which Damien can’t stand but still yearns for.

.Patton once lost his cool with Dark and actually punched him when he saw Dark belittling the other Sides. Patton apologised for the punch but he still stood by how he felt and stated that he believed Dark could be so much more than just a shadowy nightmare. Dark actually yelled at Patton as he couldn’t understand how he could see any good in him. Patton said that there is good in everyone and he wanted to help Dark see that.

.Dark’s red aura clung to Patton whenever they were in the same room while his blue aura would only flare up at the mention of giving people a second chance. ( which Patton found himself saying to a lot to the Egos when they came to talk to him about their problems.) It seemed that Celene and Damian had made their minds up about how they felt about Patton though Dark as a whole was unsure.
