colonel-william-protection-army:
Don’t imagine Wilford getting gifts for everyone. Don’t imagine on Christmas day everyone excitedly exchanging gifts. Don’t imagine Wilford pulling Dark aside to the end. Don’t imagine him giving Dark two extra presents with the names ‘Damien’ and ‘Celine’ on them. Don’t imagine as he sits there teary eyed saying “I can’t remember why I got these two extras, do you think you can do something with them?” Don’t imagine Dark simply nodding as he let’s his nails dig into the wrapping paper. Don’t imagine Dark going home with a fractured shell, wondering why on Earth Wilford did this. Don’t imagine the tears he finally cries as he holds a new black dress and a wooden cane with a stainless steal handle. Don’t imagine Dark’s figure splitting and erupting into after images of Celine and Damien as they let out their anguish of missing Wilford. Don’t imagine that this wasn’t the first time that this has happened, nor will it be the last.
how dare you
but also: don’t imagine Dark actually deciding to get Wil a present. Don’t imagine Wil tearing the paper apart, a huge smile plastered to his face since his best friend decided to do something nice. Don’t imagine him tearing the lid off the box only for him to pause, his smile fades and he just stares into the box. Don’t imagine his brows furrowing together as he looks at his gift. Don’t imagine the other egos asking him what it is, as he slowly and carefully lifts it out of the box. Don’t imagine the tears in Wil’s eyes as he holds a new trench coat, similar he used to wear back in the day. Don’t imagine him starting to remember what happened all of those years ago. Don’t imagine him quickly hugging Dark, who was shocked by the sudden gesture. Don’t imagine the silent tears that fell onto Dark’s shoulder. Don’t imagine Wil needing to leave for a few minutes to collect himself, which would actually be spent outside in the snow for a half hour.
Don’t imagine Wil sitting out in the snow wearing his tranchcoat silently crying and whispering to himself, “I’m sorry.”
