The Internet’s Fate

northeast-artist98:

The internet has been around ever since the first computers, which were about the size of an industrial furnace. With the progress of time and technology, the internet went from simply sending one document to another to sending each other messages in real time, then websites were brought to life, as well as search engines, different files were distributed, and even videos were created. The internet was the 21st Century’s prodigy. It’s perfect child. It was something that everyone could share, no matter what status.

Now, in 2017, it is now possibly the biggest form of production ever. Youtube is a platform for multitudes of entertainment, along with Twitch, and any other website and platform.

But, loves, sadly that is now at risk. At the risk of the government itself.

They want to repeal it. Limit it to those who can afford these pathetic ‘packages’, that are sectioned off.

What’s worse?

If they do go with this plan… I may not be able to be as accessible to the internet as I am now. I would have to pay for the ‘entertainment’ package, the ‘social media’ package… It’s a genuine hogswaggle. It’s absolute mutiny.

Since so many things are electronic nowadays, and everything is digital, and every artist, every gamer, every single person who has the most creative mindset rely on the internet to get exposure, like me.

Please, contact your reps, and tell them to not go with this. Because, for as long as we can, since the beginning of this damn country, we need to keep it ‘Land of the Free’. Tell them to veto that shit. Shoot it down. Because if they go with it…

This could be one of the last posts we see of each other.

Please, everyone. For the sake of our lives.
