It starts out with Dark’s signature creaking, and then he starts whispering.
The most clear line comes in later.
“We were going to do great things together”
Then, the piano music from the ending Who Killed Markiplier.
What if Dark is falling apart?
What if Dark needs us to stay whole? He became the otherworldly-looking creature we know him as only after we were kicked out of our body.
We had the opportunity to start a new life somewhere else because our spirit wasn’t in our body anymore. But now Dark needs us back. He’s weak. And now he’s manipulating us to get us to become a part of that hellish amalgamation again. He’s making us think we’ll be better than before if we do.
He’s making it seem like we need him, but he needs us.
“Don’t remember”
He wants us to forget.
He wants us to forget that we were nothing but pawns.
He wants us to forget that we were manipulated before.
He wants us to forget how he stole our body and left us trapped.
He wants us to forget how we- and everyone else- lost everything because of him.
He wants us to forget how he betrayed us.
He wants us to forget that he was pulling the strings.
He wants us to forget that we’re not the ones in control.
We don’t have a choice, not anymore.
