Alien abduction

So I just had a thought that really surprised me. With all this humans are weird stuff that’s blown up lately, I haven’t once seen a concept about the oldest alien human trope around, abduction. Literally every one I’ve read, humans and aliens have official first contact abd are surprised by each other.

But what about human history with everyone who’s claimed to see ships or aliens and such? We’re those just stories? Or renegade aliens taking humans? And for what? Study? Commodity? We’re these visits official and recorded and was what they found so scary that they left us alone till official first contact?

I can just imagine some human lost alone in the galaxy just…surviving, years after getting abducted and ramboing their way out of captivity, and the incident was so freaky the aliens were like nah, no way, let’s give it another 50 years
