What if humans are the only sentients to voluntarily leave their original planet? Like all the other aliens sent out messages like their own versions of SETI, and they all joyfully set up lines of communication to talk to each other, but they had no desire to go visit?

Humans: We came to visit! Wow, your planet is beautiful.

Humans: We’re explorers! We love going places. Don’t you?
Aliens: What? No! We’re perfectly evolved to suit this planet; other planets would not be as pleasing, and might be harmful to us! Did something happen to your planet? Are you searching for new places to reside, because your planet has become uninhabitable? We’re… full, here. Yes, full. No room for any more people, sorry.
