Dark has never liked mirrors.

Most would think it’s because he does not want to look into his own black eyes, see his now grey skin. He does not want to face himself because he knows that if he were to see himself now, he would break and lose himself and never be able to continue.

But that is not the reason.

He knows that if he were to even glance into a mirror, he would see them staring back, watching him with hurt and betrayal in their eyes. He knows that if he were to stare into the mirror they would meet his eyes with a sorrowful expression, reaching out to press their hand on their side of the mirror. He knows that if he met their eyes, he would never be able to look away, to continue on with his quest for vengeance.

Because he did this to them. He tricked them, used them and trapped them inside that hellacious mirror realm. They would never be able to escape, to walk again because he trapped them there.

And he would never be able to forgive himself if he saw them again.
