so, that was Dark’s origin story. quite emotional. but there’s one thing people don’t seem to fully understand. is Dark in Damien’s body, or The Players. a lot of people seem to think that Dark is possessing Damien’s body.
here is a picture of Dark before the mirror cracks. as you can see his hair is parted to the right.
here is a picture of Damien. His hair is parted to the left, and slicked back.
now I know what you thinking, oh well, his hair could’ve gotten mess up. well, if you look at the picture of Dark, he doesn’t have a white bow tie, a flower in his jacket, or the Mayor pin. plus, since the camera pans from the point of view of the player,(from where you where laying on the ground) it means that Damien and Selene are in YOUR body. Dark is YOU.
now whether or not the player is left in the mirror is up for debate. I personally believe that the camera shifted into the mirror was for affect. I believe that the player is still in there with Damien and Selene.
but it’s still debatable, after all Dark “has been waiting a long time to see you again.”
so? you still not convinced that Dark’s body is YOUR body, well, lets use Damien’s own words.
“He’d(mark) been planning this for years, and now that son of a bitch is out there walking around in MY body.”
So, yeah. Dark’s body is the body of the player, not Damien.
Not just that but before you pick up Damien’s cane, you still have Ethan’s hand which is yours. But as soon as you pick it up you change. You were probably still you, but then you changed as soon as you touched the cane, taking on Damien’s appearance because it may have been your body but you’re dead now, just a shell.
Damien and Selene took over your body, changed how you looked because you’re gone.
You are gone. But your body remained. You are the shell holding them together.
