Freezing Cold
(Hey, hey, hey @magic-marvin-protection-patrol I got some um… angst? Violet, I tried my best to find away to hurt Signas lets see how I did):
They had only meant to be out here for a few days on a short trip. Not for a week, struggling to survive. Well, Marvin is, anyway. Robbie isn’t bothered by the cold, just his hunger.
The cave they are camping out in his dark and cold, barely keeping the blowing wind from hitting them. They’re running low on firewood, food and water.
Marvin is not doing well.
Robbie can only watch as Marvin grows weaker and weaker each day. The cold is causing the magician to freeze so badly he can hardly even start fires with his magic any longer. His entire body quakes with the cold and the zombie can’t do anything to help because even though he can’t feel it his skin is freezing to the touch. So, there’s no way Robbie could help with warming the magician.
And he hates it.
Currently Marvin is shakily dragging a piece of firewood from the pile. Robbie is standing to help when the magician falls over to the floor, body spasming from the freezing cold. The zombie hurries to his side as fast as his aching joints will allow, hands hovering over the magician, too afraid to touch him.
Marvin is a dark blue blob, just like the snow outside. There’s only a small flicker of dull orange in his stomach and Robbie knows this is not a good sign. His heart is beating too slow, stuttering occasionally.
“Mm-… Maaarrrinnn…” Robbie whimpered, heart seizing at seeing how cold and weak the magician currently is. They had only come here for a short trip. But of course that snowstorm had to blow in. Of course it had to cut off their service and strand them.
“I- it’s okay, R- Robbie,” Marvin stuttered and Robbie can hear his teeth clattering together, can see the cold breaths leaving his mouth in short gusts. He tries to push himself back up but his arms give out beneath him. The dull orange fades to a dark yellow and Robbie whimpers once more because that’s one more color until blue. “I’m.. in f-fine.”
Robbie knows that is a terrible lie but he can’t do anything to help warm. Well, maybe he could… he looks to the piece of firewood Marvin had been trying to drag and grabs it, the rough surface tearing at his already cracked skin. He drags it to where Marvin had been starting fires for the past few days and hurries to the pile of firewood, grabbing another piece and adding it. He then looks to Marvin because he has no idea how to start a fire. Marvin doesn’t seem to notice his questioning state because he only curls in further on himself, trying to capture any warmth leaving his body.
The zombie grits his teeth together and looks at the pile he’d made. This is the last few pieces of firewood before they are out. He has to figure this out. He has to help Marvin.
He stumbles to the bag that Marvin had saved from their tent which they had stayed in at first and sloppily zips it open. Now that he’s beginning to panic his movements are even choppier than before, all jerky and uncoordinated. He wracks his tired brain, hoping to find some memory from before or how to start a fire.
A small square… a silver gleam… click… click… flames.
He unceremoniously tears through the bag, much similar to a wild animal. He’d eaten his last piece of human flesh they had brought so he would be satisfied for another day or two when he would begin to lose control over his mind. That would be a problem if they were still here. But he’ll worry about that later. If it comes to that.
He throws anything that doesn’t look similar at all to what he remembers, fingers rubbing along the surfaces of each item in hope that it would be familiar. It’s when he reaches the bottom of the bag that his fingertips brush over the slick and square surface of something. He pauses and fumbles to grab that item, quickly pulling it out and smelling at it. He cringes at the scent. It smells of gas and flames packed into a small square.
But this is what he had been looking for.
He hurriedly crawls back to the small pile of firewood and quickly checks on Marvin. Relief hits him when he hears the sound of a weak heartbeat coming from the curled magician. Marvin had at some point wrapped his cape around him tightly, as though hoping to find some kind of warmth from it.
Robbie holds up the strange box in one hand and tries to use it. But he can’t seem to figure out how. He whines like a dog, the sound loud enough to catch the sluggish attention of Marvin who looks up worriedly to the zombie. As if something could be worrying about Robbie.
“Wha- what’s wr- wrong?” Marvin stammered and he sounds even worse then Robbie when talking but he can actually understand him so much easier. Maybe he could always talk like this. He shakes his head at the idea.
He holds up the small square to show Marvin and he can just see the magician slowly blink. A jumble of emotions surrounds him, his mind too cold to actually process a proper feeling. But he does seem to recognize the item after a moment.
He’s acting too much like Robbie for Robbie’s taste. He knows that’s not good for a human.
“Th- that’s a- a li- lighter,” Marvin explained and he lays his head down because it was too hard to hold it up. Robbie bites down on his tongue and whines again, crawling closer to the magician to prod at his side. That makes Marvin start. “You- you re- remove th- the top t- to st- start a f- fire.” He pauses, drawing in a shaking breath. “Th- there’s a swit- switch in- inside. Cl- click it..”
Robbie does as instructed, fingers shakily opening the top. His thumb runs along the edge until he finds the switch that Marvin had been speaking of. He presses down on it as hard as he could and a few red dots fill the air for a moment- fire! He gasps and hurries to the firewood, falling to his stomach just beside it. He sticks his tongue out and presses down many more times, trying to get those small dots to return. He holds the lighter to the wood and flicks. The small dots fly out, rub against the wood. He growls angrily when nothing happens, however.
No sound aside from his angry growling, the click of the lighter and Marvin’s slow breathing fills the cave. He knows he doesn’t have to worry as long as he can faintly heat the soft breathing from the magician laid out behind him.
He doesn’t know how long- too long- for the red dos to finally catch on the wood. But when they do the wood slowly is covered by the warm red of flames and he claps his hands together excitedly, looking back at Marvin with a grin.
But he loses the grin as soon as he hears that heart stop beating.
Robbie lets out a scream, scrambling back for Marvin. He grabs his arms, not caring how cold his hands are because Marvin needs the fire right fucking now. He lays the magician as close as he can to the flames without full on throwing him in and falls to his knees beside Marvin, actually breathing as worry fills him.
Now all he can do is wait.

Yea it’s kind of an open ending. Am I truly evil yet when it comes to writing?
Robbie would become a zombie that plagues the area that they are if Marvin died. He’d become a mindless monster that eats anything that gets near it, basically. Except for the corpse in his cave…
Hey, maybe I’ll continue writing this. But probably not. I wanna be evil lol

WHOM THE FUCK DID THIS
if bored enough, I really think Ryuk would do this .-.
One of my coworkers was asking me about my anti shirt, and I don’t really know how to say “evil alter ego of an internet personality” without sounding batshit crazy so I just said “oh yeah its from some Irish metal band called antisepticeye” I mean… It’s not TOO FAR off the mark. He DOES love metal… And I can totally see anti in a metal band!
Yeah, that’s a nice dodge there haha 😀
Anti would totally be in a metal band tbh – Mod Lily
Humans are Wierd Tale
“The planet Txar has been on civil war since long before the Galactic Union discovered their existence. The Txarian sentient species, Ky.rroc are hermaphrodites around two hundred fifty centimeter high and a hundred thirty kilograms heavy. Their skin is even thicker than steel, almost an exoskeleton, and their musculature so strong they are able to carry twice their own weight. The first commandant to ever see one described xe as a kill machine.”
As Commandant Lou’tt spoke about my own species all I could see was fear on the eyes of the various aliens around. By pure luck my ancestors have reached the G.U. before the Kishemern. As soon as the commander called my people kill machines a tiny creature, using a spacesuit, “for safety purposes”, raised xis hand.
– Human Gabriel, for the hundredth time. – The Commandant spoke with impatience – If you want to ask something, you can just talk. No need to wait to a officer allow you to.
– Right, Lou. – The “human” looked to xir superior – That commandant has ever been on Terra? I mean, do you really call those kill machines?
I looked into the tiny creature eyes. I could see the predator within, although it was hidden behind childish laughter, fake peace and self hatred. The thing the G.U. never found out about the Ky.rroc was how extreme are our predatory senses, barely mind reading.
– How many generations have passed since your kind last seen war, Human? – I saw the crew shaking out of fear again, but the human retributed my look, showing xis teeth, not as sharp as mine, far from threatening, but a clear challenge. – I guess your kind have outcame hunt, halfway mutated into herbivores. How you dare calling the proud Jug.dymak of the Kr.rroc not a killing machine.
– Yrillis-6, Txar is called a Death World by the Union, I’ll give you that. – The human howled that offense – A Class Two Death World. – Xis voice had no fear, xis eyes started glowing with excitement – I am from Sol-4, Terra the only Class Six Death World that is inhibited.
“I can survive temperatures below freezing, and halfway boiling. Most poison are ineffective against my kind, and many of those that are we use for fun. We are able to mimic any species cries or languages. Humans are know for bonding with any living thing, and many non-living to. You ask how many generations we have since we last saw war? There are some happening right now, using titanium piercing ammo, incendiary cluster bombs, nuclear friction grenades
“And you wonder why ain’t I afraid of the Ky.rroc? My own body is a lethal bioweapon to your species. My breath carries microorganisms that can kill you, not to talk about those that live only inside of me, my fluids are acid to your skin. You may kill me, but my corpse alone can slay one of your cities.”
– I am a proud child of Sol-4, a son of Terra. – Xis eyes sparkled, predatory, as no being ever was – I was named Gabriel Thanatos, names that symbolize the guardian angel and the death. As my father said, what Humanity are.
I felt then what those crew members did. Fear, an emotion I only knew throughout my prey. I fell for my knees, impotent as I understood why that monster had so much laughter, fake peace and self hatred. Xe was preventing xiself from feeling power hunger, megalomania and bloodlust.
– Always keep a Terran around, Ky.rooc Jug.dymak. – The commandment said as the human walked away to the battlefield, unplugging his suit – After all, they are hard to kill, and harder not to love after a while.
Please, the Host can’t hear us — he’s blind.
I get strong Chase vibes from this
what if you could ban people from a store in real life the same way you ban someone in a video game server like some dude just starts yelling FUCK over and over in mcdonalds and then suddenly he’s just gone
given enough time millenials will unconsciously independently rewrite twilight zone episodes on tumblr like the monkeys with shakespeare on typewriters
I had a fantastic time doing this collab with @sokoistrying! She gave me a sketch, I did the lineart and colouring you can see here!
Her Infelix character is super interesting and fun, I suggest you go check her out for more information on him if you haven’t already!
